    Clear energy conservation mission this evening. Slowest possible tempo, throughout. Probably didn't plan to go to extra time but, again, we were playing at minimal effort (energy-wise) anyway. AND they had the week off, AND the ref was terrible, AND they were at home. All in all, a solid result.

    You can tell they weren't prepared for this. Even the token 'Villa' pundit is an Arsenal legend.

    Agreed. There has to be a better way, though. There needs to be tighter regulations on clickbait headlines as a source of public misinformation. Not only because of this instance, but because it's generally poor form.

    This is the capitalist problem with the world of news media, though. His job should be to report the news verbatim. Modern day 'Journalists' (and I use this term extremely loosely) have a moral obligation to report accurately, rather than doing what they can to trick morons into panic-clicking on a distorted headline. The number of people you can fool trumps the quality of your reporting these days... which is a tragic shame.

    There's no available manager in world football I would take over Unai right now (and only maybe 1 or 2 in-post I'd take). He's still trying to shape a threadbare squad into what he wants it to be and, according to 'the plan' (both sporting and financial), we're on track. We're 4th... I repeat, FOURTH... in the table. In March! We're in the best place we've been in a long, long time.

    Got my N64 and Gamecube looking pretty sharp. Did a shell swap, added a PicoBoot chip for SD card use, and popped some lights in the Cube. Switched out the N64 logo for the prototype 'Ultra 64' logo too.

    We're just not set up for Thursday (away)/Sunday. Not enough quality depth and another low energy performance as a result. Bad day at the office. We move on.

    Luton are making a decent fight of it, on an extremely limited budget compared to most of the teams who come up. It's just the other two who aren't giving it a proper go.

    Something needs to be done about these newly promoted clubs having ZERO ambition and just taking the payday. I reckon, if you don't reach a certain amount of points in the Prem (and get relegated), you get a 6pt deduction the following season in the Championship. If you don't have a certain goal difference, you get another 6pt deduction in the Championship. It's the only way this yo-yo nonsense is going to stop. It's embarrassing.

    Gritty away win. Showed a lot of character. Michael Oliver should be ashamed of himself. Positive subs from Unai to change the game. Fair doos to Luton, though. Full respect for not doing the usual 'promoted side' thing of just putting every man behind the ball for 90+mins. Played a high line for a lot of the game! Hope they stay up.

    I'm certain the changing room mentality will be 'Close the gap on Arsenal' rather than 'distance ourselves from Spurs' and I think it's a mentality even the fans of 'big' teams adopt. Easier said than done, and I know it's unusual for us, but us fans should try to adopt the same mindset.

    Aside from street football, bike races, and pretty much every other street game you could imagine, we used to climb up the frame of the railway footbridge in our street and then jump off onto MOVING COAL TRAINS, landing in the coal. Looking back on it, I'm amazed we all got through it injury/death free. The train operators didn't report us and nobody's parents put an end to it - different times.

    Although I thought we were the better team today, the fact we play like we're 3-0 up when we're behind is getting frustrating. Don't like to single out players, but Cash will be gone in the summer. I don't care about his occasional goals anymore. He simply doesn't have the football IQ and Unai knows it - you can't teach that. Referee was abysmal today, too. Didn't give us a sniff. Anyhow, on to the next!

    That was four years prior to the Tom Petty half-time show. The run following the Janet Jackson incident was top drawer though: McCartney, Rolling Stones, Prince, Tom Petty, Springsteen, The Who. Not a big fan of the Stones but, still, compare those six acts to the crap we've been served up since.
