  1. Could be worth looking at on a free. I can't say I've really watched him much, is he better than Dendoncker?
  2. It seems a little unfair that the FA wanted us to host Euro 28 matches with the capacity up above 50k but at the same time we will be a bit buggered by the rules if we go ahead with the North Stand. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. You'd think we could make a case on that basis to be exempt from part of the FFP rules or at least be allowed to take the loss of income from having one stand less for two years into account. Maybe the FA can lobby on our behalf to the Premier League?
  3. I went for Frank but I mainly hate the way he chews his gum with his mouth open.
  4. Standard Ajax then innit? Wonder if we are going more 4-3-3 than normal.
  5. Nedeljkovic would probably have more Champions League experience than 90% of the squad I could see us looking to sell Tim like we did with the other youngsters. Might get £10m for him? Then sign a more experienced central midfielder on a Bosman. Does Tim actually count as homegrown in Europe?
  6. I'm surprised the FA haven't kicked up a fuss about us not delivering the stadium we offered in the bid with 8000 fewer fans and out-of-date facilities. They left out Old Trafford, the second biggest ground in England because it isn't up to scratch. I wouldn't be surprised if we got stripped of it and it got given to Leicester or someone else. I'm not really sure Heck would be that bothered about it, I mean how much do clubs actually make from being hosts?
  7. Me too, he and Wan Bissaka are the only 2 of their players that I'd have at Villa.
  8. It does seem there is a smaller and smaller pool of clubs that could spend the kind of money it would take to buy Doug or Emi. Well, more have owners wealthy enough, just the rules are starting to bite and will stop them, which is the daft thing. Selling the naming rights to Villa Park does seem like an attractive money grab right now. You'd think we could get some profit for Cash, maybe Digne, get rid of Coutinho's wage, sell a few more young lads, the Adidas deal, hopefully Champions League income. I'm not sure what all that would add up to.
  9. He has lost Kamara alongside him remember. He and McGinn are having to create a balance between themselves in central midfield and they both looked pretty knackered by the end of the game. It's not ideal that both will probably have to play nearly every minute of every game from now on.
  10. Top Of The Pops used to actually have quite a diverse group of acts on it so there was almost always something that somebody in the family liked and you were exposed to different types of songs from the top 40. I think it helped develop your music taste at a young age, these days I'd have thought that things like Spotify just feed kids the same sort of songs unless they go out of their way to listen to a more mixed playlist.
  11. Every few months Rick Beato goes through the top 10 and I can imagine us all having the same reactions. Funnily enough the most recent one isn't that bad, he gets more and more surprised that there are actual songs in it.
  12. It would be good if all 20 PL clubs decide **** FFP and all get 10 point deductions at the same time, rendering the whole thing pointless. Then we would also see whether UEFA would risk having European competitions with no English teams in. It'd be crazy if we have to sell a player despite qualifying for the Champions League.
  13. People say City are boring but in games like this where the other team has some attacking intent the games are brilliant.
  14. It pisses me off that I have to pay for something where the commentary is so biased all the time.
  15. I swear Rashford always turns up for these games. Like a new Agbonlahor.
  16. I thought he was actually quite crucial after it was 2-2, everyone was losing their heads and punting it long, he was getting the ball and keeping hold of it, bringing into the final 3rd a couple of times and finding a pass. I can't remember the first goal that much, I thought Luton's set pieces were targeting the far post and not really his area.
  17. I'm not sure he has ever really been used as a left midfielder in the Ramsey role before so the defensive positioning just wasn't there. He looked the part going forward to me though, I'm really encouraged. Unai should be able to coach the other parts of the game into him.
  18. Back then, was that actually offside? I thought there had to be 'daylight' between the players to be offside.
  19. 19 fouls to 8 yesterday One of the worst performances I've seen from a ref.
  20. The game changed on us and particularly Emi deciding to hoof it. Just lose the ball, invite pressure, lay a hand on them, give away free kick, cause ourselves all sorts of problems. Lesson learnt I hope and thank **** we have such quality on the bench.
  21. Stop touching their **** players! It's a free kick every time. Learn ffs.
  22. Surely the lino should have spotted the shirt pull on Lenglet before Doug got booked for barely touching their player. It's the small things like that which piss me off. Rogers looks class so far.
  23. I was thinking he is starting to score Kane-like goals every week now. Absolute joy to watch at the moment.
