  1. I think that's what Heck said but in reality we have a small window in which we can get it ready for 2028. I assume he will have moved on by then and somebody else's problem.
  2. At the moment they seem to have ruled out the North Stand development and a new ground, that must mean leaving the ground pretty much as it is, which they can't surely? Something doesn't add up to me. Hopefully things will become clearer in the summer.
  3. I was getting my stuff out of the locker in the gym, a bloke saw me in my Villa shirt and started talking football, he's a Palace fan etc etc, then halfway through the conversation he pulls his pants down. I mean I get that he's got to get changed but does he have to pick thay particular moment to do that? I hate it when people are walking round with their cocks out in the changing room.
  4. I'm still hoping we are just delaying the new North Stand by a year. Hopefully get a full year of Champions League ticket revenue plus TV on top, then get the development done in time for Euro 28. With the Warehouse development and longer platforms at Witton station it should ease congestion to cope with 50,000+. From what I remember they were improving the route to the station so most people wouldn't need to see how run down the local area is. That's still the most logical plan in my eyes, they can't seriously just be keeping the North Stand as it is.
  5. The thing with redeveloping the current ground is that if we don't start in the next year or two then we can't start until after Euro 2028, unless we give up the rights to hold matches. It wouldn't surprise me if Heck doesn’t really care about the Euros if we don't really make that much money out of it. Either way it's going to be a lot more seasons with the North Stand as it is, maybe even another decade at this rate, which is pretty unsatisfactory. That's the main reason why I reckon there's a possibility that they're looking at relocating somewhere else, in fact they'd be a bit mad not to look into it.
  6. I don't actually think signing Jack back is that fanciful an idea. I'm sure Emery would love to have a player of his quality in the squad. Jack's release clause said it could only be activated if we weren't in the Champions League from what I remember, which indicates he had that ambition to play for us in the CL. I can't see him going to Saudi unless he genuinely has no clue of what it's like out there (which is possible!). It would only be on loan, maybe with a chance to buy, so financially it might be workable.
  7. This will go quickly off topic but using the St George's Cross in different colours on the shirt has been done about 10 times before, they probably just didn't realise how sensitive the flag-shaggers are these days. I bet if they'd consulted the players they would barely have even noticed the detail anyway.
  8. It makes you wonder though if most people round there 'support' the likes of United or Liverpool whether it might be able to win them back if we continue to catch up and be successful, or at least the next generation of kids. It sounds like we have given up on trying to win over the local community.
  9. Cheers mate, didnt realise I put it in the wrong thread. Looks good
  10. Anyone able to have a stab at doing a kit based on the new Adidas national teams' template, with the gold lion badge? I assume that's what we will get.
  11. I guess the assumption is they're more likely to go down after the points deduction.
  12. If he wasn't doing his job properly then there is no way Unai would keep him on when he cleared out the rest of the backroom team. I suspect defending set pieces is down to other coaches.
  13. Bailey isn't in the Jamaica squad, which is good for us, mental for them.
  14. What a game and should be good for us.
  15. I'm pretty sure it wasn't her. I've never really had any problem with her when she has covered our games.
  16. I think getting more height in the team was planned (it turned out to not really help with set pieces anyway). We also don't know just how fit Ollie was and Unai might have felt he needed more of a strike partner to help out, plus Duran played well the other day. Either way when we are so short of midfielders it's going to be tough whichever team he gets on the park.
  17. With the automated offside technology the players have about 30 sensors each on them and a sensor in the ball, would they be able to detect where on the body the ball has hit them as well as their general position? It might be able to make this kind of decision at the end of the game a lot quicker. Either way I think more technology is the answer and less human VAR involvement.
  18. Who was the lady commentating today? Came across as a right bluenose, she was willing that goal at the end to be given.
  19. It helped that Moyes took Antonio off and completely gave us the initiative, allowing Tielemans as much time on the ball as he wanted. He will blame VAR but he gifted us a draw there. It was a great pass to Diaby for his assist, proper eye of the needle stuff.
  20. He's having to use the real depth of the squad, probably gone a bit too funky with it in the last two games. On Wednesday I was dreading these two matches, to have thumped Ajax and then fought for a draw here is a very good effort.
  21. Thank God Moyes took off Antonio and basically just let us play for the last half hour. Completely **** West Ham. Seeing Ward-Prowse coming on turned my guts to water, you just know he is going to do something, Cash gets MOTM for the block and some decent runs down the right. I'll take the Ajax win and a draw here, Spurs loss gladly.
  22. I love Konsa but it does seem to me that he often gets the wrong side of his man. Overall a bit of a shambles, we genuinely look like we have gone for a mental 4-2-4. The defenders playing around with it with not much on and losing it. Just bizarre, we need to change it up while it's still only 1-0.
  23. Funnily enough I think the word 'word removed' over here is used very differently to in the U.S. or at least when I've seen it used on TV. It seems to have a much more misogynistic use over there whereas I only use it towards males and wouldn't dream of saying it to a woman. It's also been repurposed from being an insult to almost a friendly usage a lot of the time amongst mates, a bit like the N word or P words get used among groups of friends from the same race.
  24. If we win this one it'll be one of our best of this season imo, albeit last night's game was a lot easier than I was expecting. It depends on which version of West Ham turn up but I'm always worried about Bowen.
