I'm not ashamed to admit that I sometimes think I'm still wearing glasses when I'm not. Same with wearing a hat, once you've worn it for a few hours you get indents in your head that make it feel like you're still wearing it once you've taken it off.

I think Eoin Morgan has something to do with it. I suspect he encourages players to go out and take risks and gives them his full backing if things go wrong. There's also no way he'd have captained us in the Ashes and not had the quickest bowlers available and a leg spinner playing. We still probably would have lost mind you.

I've been on a cricket forum for about 10 years which predates me joining here, and sometimes read a couple of bands' forums but don't post much. You do get similar topics though, I've even seen the arse wiping topic covered somewhere else.

My baker colleague and I were trying to start a band (the Yeastie Boys) and Zombie was about the only song I managed to teach him on the guitar. It's very simple yet a great song of my youth. 46 is no age, horrible news, and I'm sad about Regis too.

Just watched Man With The Iron Heart. A bit average really, I really liked HHHH the book it's based on, but the beauty of that was the style it was written in which they obviously couldn't pull off in a film. In terms of showing the story of Heydrich's assassination I preferred Anthropoid.

Nah, in my experience the only people who have taken blatantly obvious sickies are words removed. They have many more word removedy attributes as well, mind you. It's more the fact that someone has to cover for you that annoys me, I just think it's not on.

The Mail on Sunday was remain though, which I found bizarre. Anyway I'm most shocked by trains selling newspapers. You can't buy anything on a train down here, not even snacks or drinks any more.

Yep, even if I'm not really that arsed about football not involving Villa any more, I try to watch as much of Messi as I can. One of the few things about footy that I'd bore the grandkids about if I ever have any. An absolute joy to watch.
