  1. Looks like Noel's having a bit of a mid-life crisis. He needs to burn that blouse he's wearing and have a bacon sandwich or two by the looks of how skinny he is. Plus stop dancing.
  2. I was thinking, blimey Debbie McGee moves well for a 75 year old but she's actually only 58. Still pretty impressive mind you.
  3. Horses that shit in the road. No idea why it's acceptable for horse riders to just leave a massive pile of crap lying around.
  4. Looks like some real ability in the under 17s. I particularly liked the weight of some of the crosses and passes for the goals. Whether they get any meaningful football in the next 5 years is questionable still.
  5. It's just at some angles, her head looks like an alien's. Kind of puts me off. The bromance between Greg Davies and Alex Horne is great too.
  6. Taskmaster is probably my favourite hour of weekly normal TV at the moment. Helps that Bob Mortimer's on this series, but I can't work out whether Aisling Bea is WB or not. Something about Sally Phillips's smile makes her vintage bintage too. It's just an hour of fun really.
  7. Have another go at university. First time round was an absolute disaster as I had no real confidence or direction, I'd cope much better now but it costs a **** fortune it probably wouldn't be the same being 10 years older than everyone else.
  8. New telly doesn't have a hole for a scart lead, now I have to fanny about finding the right thing to connect the DVD player in the shops. I hate it when new stuff comes out with different connection thingymajigs.
  9. I wouldn't mind watching that. The first two books are decent detective novels, then it goes a bit Stephen King in the third all of a sudden. Hopefully it'll appear somewhere on TV.
  10. I can manage it if there's someone I want to avoid talking or listening to during my lunch hour. I almost always read but occasionally I have to stick my music on to drown out the whinging of certain colleagues, and I can concentrate on both pretty well.
  11. My brothers don't like fish and if we are doing a posh family meal out, we usually pretend they're allergic to fish rather than just fussy. The restaurant usually are happy to do something else to accommodate them. Might be worth a try.
  12. My Dad loves it as he used to work for the BBC. I think there must be a lot of 'in jokes' as I just don't find it very funny. I may give it another whirl one day.
  13. Thought Williams threw a punch there but in slo-mo think he was ok.
  14. Lunch menus. 3 courses for 12 quid, yes please.
  15. Finished Mindhunter, it was very good, just a pain in the arse we will have to wait another year to get another 10 episodes. Netflix seasons are always too short.
  16. I think generally she's been decent, obviously cocked up but Elliott has looked out of his depth and it was a no-brainer. That horse-woman-man on the other team is the worst they've ever had on it. I'd find it hard to avoid belting her.
  17. Yeah I'll go, they're usually a bit bonkers one way or another. Haven't done it in a few years, I think the last one we did was in February a couple of years ago, this time it's November 25th so should be a little more Christmasy. It's usually the one time of year our manager-of-the-time goes a bit mental, had one old manager get in a scrap with a colleague and another one source cocaine for everyone who wanted it in Chiquitos. Our current one is going through a messy divorce so has potential for shenanigans if plied with enough booze. Just a shame it's at the Beefeater which is dogshite.
  18. I'd recommend reading the books. I never read Harry Potter so never realised what a great writer JK Rowling is, and I thought the TV series was a bit of a let down in comparison. As you say, it's watchable stuff but somehow Strike doesn't stand out from other detectives as much as in the books
  19. I've noticed that smoking has become far more frequent in TV programmes recently. It might be due Netflix etc taking over from network TV so there is less pressure on them to cut it out. I wouldn't be surprised if younger people are getting influenced by that.
  20. Boris is a winner and always has been. Even now he'd probably walk a GE if in charge of the Tories, despite his reputation being at an all time low. As for the referendum, I still wonder how many people were put off by Faisal Islam's shit Paxman impression in that first Sky debate and didn't bother watching any more, just voting with their 'gut' instead. It was difficult for Cameron to get his point of view across when interrupted halfway through each sentence. Cameron and Corbyn not sharing the stage didn't help either.
  21. Just woke up after a post-work nap and the sky scared the shit out of me
  22. Talking of Christmas, some prick has put a load of Christmas wrapping paper in my wheelie bin. Not even my recycling one either, and why wait til now to throw it away? I might just use it and save a few quid.
  23. What a shitter, I love Kevin Cadle and Sean Hughes
