  1. We all have and it is a remake. It's a 1:1 remake of the original built from the ground up in the new engine created for Last of Us 2. I know you're not impressed with the visual upgrade, but that doesn't mean you can make up bullshit about it being a remaster when it's not a remaster.
  2. I enjoyed that showcase, but I wasn't expecting massive megaton announcements. I watch for the upcoming video games and it delivered upcoming video games. Fort Solis looked like a fantastic atmospheric thriller with a great voice cast. The Callisto Protocol is Dead Space 4 in everything but name, it looks fantastic. Routine is 10-years in the making, another great looking horror game. I understand that this year was lacking in huge surprises, but the industry is also playing catch up due to Covid delays both internally and externally. I enjoyed it for what it was.
  3. A PC version is also in development. That version likely isn't releasing on September 2nd with the PS5 version though.
  4. Almost everything about this game could suck and I'll still probably enjoy it as the combat director on FF16 worked on Devil May Cry 5, and Dragons Dogma which are two very gameplay first experiences. Any game that puts gameplay first is likely to be enjoyable regardless of what the other departments bring to the table. It's why Forspoken (another Square Enix game) concerns me because the gameplay looks average, which means everything is resting on the story, and most stories in video games are mundane and cliché. Most video games rely on the tired trope of, "you're the only one in the world that can save us all" which was great as a power trip when I was 6 years old and dumb as shit, but as an adult it's overdone and not interesting. So FF16 focusing on gameplay is perfectly fine by me, and maybe the story will be half decent too.

  6. I love MJF. I assume that the pipe bomb means Tony Khan and MJF have worked something out behind the scenes and they're now doing a worked shoot, but that promo was everything it needed to be.
  7. The ungoodening of PS+ begins. I had a feeling PS+ Essential would take a massive decline the moment PS+ Extra arrived, but I didn't think they'd start before Extra/Premium has even launched in much of the world. My advice is to upgrade to PS+ Extra (once available) so you can benefit from where Sony's time, money and energy will be spent going forward. Premium based on the Asia launch isn't worth it as the PS1/PS2 emulation is terrible.
  8. The computing is done on the PS5. To make the PSVR2 wireless would mean wireless video transfer between the PS5 and PSVR2 headset which would introduce additional latency. The Quest 2 is wireless because all the computing is done on the headset, but that also means hardware wise it's very weak, feature wise it's very lacking and battery wise it lasts like 3-4 hours on a single charge (depending what game you play). Sony want PSVR2 to be the most cutting edge VR headset on the planet, and that means cutting no corners even if that means the headset having a wire.
  9. I always wonder how accurate those rumours are. I can definitely see some wrestlers watching Cody in WWE closely, but I definitely think it's too soon for there to be talk of jumping ship, unless those talking about it are those that won't be in AEW's plans much longer. WWE signed Cody to push him like this, but we all know that unless you're Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns or Becky Lynch you're likely not going to be pushed constantly. The real test is how are WWE treating Cody in 12 months? Even AJ Styles was pushed huge when he first arrived, but now he's in constant mid-card feuds that don't matter. You have to go back to 2018 to find his last WWE Title run. As for talent like Keith Lee. It's hard to know what AEW's plans are for him because AEW rotate talent in and out between PPV cycles. Double or Nothing will have acted as mini-season finale with some wrestlers getting rotated out, and new stories starting. We'll have to see what happens there.

  11. I was going to spoiler tag this, but I don't think I'll be talking about anything in any real specifics, at least surrounding the match itself. I don't think backstage politics is a spoiler as it's not part of any storyline, it's literally Tony Khan and MJF having a contract dispute. The MJF rumours weren't nonsense. By MJFs own admission he showed up to the arena last minute. This is why AEW made the promo videos private, and only un-privated them once he was in the arena which was like 60 minutes before start time. All talent have to check in 3-4 hours before start time so he arrived 3 hours late. It wasn't all nonsense. MJF and Tony Khan's relationship that was once very good is completely fractured. He legit no-showed a meet and greet that fans paid for. He legit only showed up to the PPV last minute. Just because he showed up in the end doesn't mean the past 2 days of conflict between himself and Tony Khan didn't happen. MJF likely only turned up to Double or Nothing because he realised that no-showing the event would have screwed over his good friend Wardlow. I do think that if MJF was in a program with someone he respected less he would have stayed in the casino all night. I am glad that MJF showed up and fulfilled not only his contractual obligation, but allowed a storyline 2+ years in the making to see its completion. As much as I want to see MJF stick around in AEW, I am glad that the AEW fans got closure on one of the longest running storylines in the companies history. We'll see what happens next.

  13. Especially a team that has better quality in it. I know that we can only judge players on what we have seen, but there is a general lack of foresight with some football fans. How does Bailey do with more creative players, better passers and a more solid defensive spine to the team? Same for any player that underachieved last season. How does Mings do with Kamara in-front of him, and Carlos beside him? We will be a different team next season in many regards. Maybe Bailey will continue to underperform, and continue to be a weak injury prone player, but there is also every chance he thrives in the new look Villa team that is being built.
  14. The French have never been known to sugar coat their thoughts and feelings. It's why France is often perceived as a country full of rude people, but they're just straight talkers. Deschamps didn't say anything untrue.
  15. I don't have a problem with it. Yes, it's not traditional, but he's using their social media to keep his profile in world football high which benefits Villa in the end. We're already seeing the recruitment benefits of having him as our manager. He's one of the best midfielders to ever play the game and it seems players want to be coached/managed by him as a result. Gerrard showing up on way bigger social media accounts isn't a negative to me. He's a legend at Liverpool, and I think it's cool that Aston Villa allow him to do this.
  16. They're developed on a rushed schedule because WWE want there to be one game per year. WWE 2K22 benefitted from a 2 year dev cycle because 2K20 was abysmal, but even 2 years is not enough time in this day and age.
  17. As long as Aston Villa still have a say in which of his clients they sign then I don't see the issue. Having a good working relationship with agents (or "super agents") doesn't seem like a negative. In theory treating agents nice so they keep us in mind when their client wants to move is just smart business. That said there doesn't seem to be much in this link.

  20. I wouldn't be surprised if most people outside of the club don't even know that we have some of the richest owners in world football. NSWE fly under the radar. They aren't the kinds of owners that want to be in the spotlight, so Villa have these owners worth tens of billions and no one outside of Villa seems to know that.
  21. Every season since we were promoted I have said 8th, so I'll continue to say 8th. That said I am hoping to be wrong next season for all the right reasons, anything higher than 8th would be fantastic.
  22. These are the steps required to get a gun in the UK; You have to apply for a firearm or shotgun certificate. You need a firearm certificate if you're after rifles (both single fire, or semi-automatic). While pistols/handguns are completely outlawed and cannot be bought even with a firearm certificate. You need a shotgun certificate if you're after shotguns. The UK allows all forms of shotgun be that lever action, pump action, or semi-automatic. To get either certificate you have to go through a multi stage process: Complete an application form. Provide a passport photo. Have 2 references if you're after a firearm certificate, or 1 reference if you're after a shotgun certificate. You also have to pay a fee for the certificate you're applying for. The fee is given to you by your local police force. You must also have a sit down meeting with the chief officer of police where they will ask why you want the gun, what you're planning to do with it and if you seem responsible enough, or of sound mind to own the gun. Once you have passed all the stages and have your certificate you are free to own as many guns within the certificate classification as you want. There is no legal limit on how many you can own, although every single gun you buy does have to registered to your name and your certificate. This certificate also has to be renewed every 5 years. That said even once you have everything squared away, and you're operating above board and you have your gun for whatever reason there are still heavy restrictions: If you own a semi-automatic rifle it is limited to .22 rimfire calibre ammunition meaning its potential to cause catastrophic harm in the wrong hands is greatly minimised. If you own a shotgun it is limited to a capacity of no more than three cartridges. It's hard to get a gun, but once you have it there are laws in place to make sure that if the gun is misused it's not catastrophic.
  23. I just want to see progress towards that goal and if we achieve that goal next season then that's a bonus.
  24. I didn't say that Pep does nothing. It's obvious that he's a very good tactician, and he does change how teams play I'm not disputing that at all. If I was I would have talked down his tactical prowess in my post, but I didn't. That said at many of the clubs he has been at he has been assisted in radical change by a blank cheque, but that's football in 2022, I don't like it, but it is what it is. Gerrard has been very clear that he inherited a team that were used to a different system. A team with certain players that weren't great either skill wise, or mentally. While he's also had to play half a season without a dedicated CDM (Luiz is not a CDM, he hates playing there). He's been very open about the inconsistency that comes with changing the team mid season in a world class league. I'm in full support of being very critical if we're still shit next season, but it takes time before the machine is firing on all cylinders. It takes several windows before most managers have a team that they can dominate with, unless of course you have the money to buy £300 million worth of players in a window, that speeds things up a bit.
