  1. Valhalla did enough to get Ubisoft to rethink their strategy. The upcoming Assassin's Creed Mirage is absolutely tiny by comparison at 20 hours long for main story. I am sure Ubisoft will still deliver some AC games that are 300 hours long to 100% them, but it seems like enough people had issue with how big Valhalla was that Ubisoft are trying to change it up a bit.
  2. Moreno didn't earn his place, he got into the starting eleven through injury. Digne has returned so he gets his spot back and it's now on Digne to play well enough to keep it.

Yesterday was weird across the board. I watched the match on Peacock and the commentary ignored Villa for 90% of the match. They said a few positive things in the final 10 minutes of the first half because we had 98% of the ball, but they were so focused on Southampton. The Southampton players string two passes together for the first time in 20 minutes, and commentary were like "They're playing well today, I could see Southampton getting something today". Yet Villa had all the possession, all the shots, all the creative chances bar two very good attacks from Southampton and we were given no credit for it. Maybe that's a sign that we've moved up a level and the media are expecting more from us, while Southampton were the underdog, but it was weird yesterday.
  4. It wasn't pretty at times, but good teams win no matter what and we're starting to do that. Fantastic 3 points.
  5. Emma rolled her ankle badly in a match at the ASB Classic in New Zealand, an event took place a week before the Aussie Open. Injuries are her biggest enemy at this point as she just can't stop getting hurt. Her entire 2022 season was derailed due to constant injuries and issues as well.
  6. I don't love this signing, but I also don't hate it. If it happens he'll be our best CB by a mile, so it's not a negative outside of the ridicule we'll probably get for signing him.
  7. It has been a busy few days in WWE and none of it happened on-screen. Vince McMahon is back. He forced his way back onto the board of directors by threatening to use the voting power from his shares to make getting new media rights deals difficult. Since returning he has been re-instated as Executive Chairman of the Board. He was joined by George Barrios and Michelle Wilson. Three board members were removed from their positions to make way for them. Two other board members resigned after Vince McMahon was reinstated. Vince McMahon is back to facilitate the sale of WWE ahead of media rights negotiations later this year. WWE have hired JP Morgan to help lead sales talks. Comcast are the current front runners in the race to buy WWE, but other potential buyers include Fox, Disney, and even the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund. All change at WWE and it looks like they'll have new owners sooner rather than later.
  8. I think its one of those cases where the Internet is taking an issue that has impacted a small amount of people and are now using it to scaremonger. I'm sure it has happened to some people, but the console has sold 30 million units (so far) so stuff is bound to go wrong for some of them. I don't see leaking liquid metal being a widespread issue though as it's well contained in a sealed chamber, now that seal could break for some users, but I don't see it being a huge issue. As for hearing anything? No one I know with a PS5 has had issues and they all use it vertically. I've had no issues and I use it vertically. I'm just going to keep using it vertically and if it dies, it dies, but I don't think my PS5s eventual death will be due to this specific issue.
  9. Thank you for the correction. I'm not sure where I read it, but I may have confused it with another one of WWE's boast posts about sales numbers.
  10. I'm glad to see a major PPV come to England, but that arena is very small. WWE sold out a 60k stadium in Wales in like 30 seconds last year and the O2 is a 20k capacity venue. I would love to go to this PPV, but it's going to sell out in 10 seconds.
  11. Fallout 76 is a much better game now than it was at launch. They have ironed out most of the major bugs, and have added a massive amount of story content that is of a rather high standard. The biggest flaw the game has now is that the player still has to play through the story the game had at launch which is absurdly dull. It was from when the game didn't have NPCs and the whole story was told through audio logs, and it's just boring as you feel like you're chasing shadows rather than something that actually exists, but everything post-Wastelanders update is great as there are NPCs now and player choice has returned. It's worth playing if you can get it on the cheap, or if you have a Game Pass sub as the game is part of that subscription.
  12. Olsen between the sticks and Ollie as our sole striker. I like Ollie, but we're going to have to create 63 chances today for that lad to even get close to a hattrick today, and with Olsen in goal a hattrick likely won't be enough.
  13. Both defences have been shit. Liverpool the more clinical side. Villa strikers couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo. That's the game so far.
  14. Can we please sign a striker that actually scores goals. I am tired of the "he does great work off the ball" striker that Villa has a habit of signing. Ollie had a great first season in the Prem, but since then he has been the typical Villa striker that doesn't score.
  15. Amazon had Leon and Buendia up to in 4-4-2, but I'm not sure they have any idea either.
  16. 2023 is going to be an insane year for video games. I haven't seen a year as stacked as 2023 has the potential to be since 2004 and I can't wait to feast on all the games. As for the games I am most looking forward to? Dead Space Wanted: Dead Wild Hearts Atomic Heart Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Resident Evil 4 Dead Island 2 Street Fighter 6 Diablo IV Final Fantasy XVI Baldur's Gate III Those are the games I'm looking forward to that have release dates/windows. As for those without release dates, but are planned to release in 2023; Alan Wake II Silent Hill 2 ARA: History Untold Redfall Starfield Forza Motorsport Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Didn't like part one of the remake, but I'm invested now) Lies of P The Lords of the Fallen Minecraft Legends Replaced Remnant 2 Returnal for PC S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chornobyl 2023 has the makings of being a greatest of all time year if everything planned to release actually releases.
  17. His knee is cooked. I wish him a speedy recovery as that doesn't look good at all.
  18. I wasn't super sold on the Forspoken demo. The combat was a mixed bag for me. I found Freya's magic to be lacking in weight and it never quite felt satisfying, while Sila's magic was the complete opposite and always felt great to use. My issue is enemies have weaknesses, so I can't just play with the flame sword magic all game. I think the game is trying some cool things with the combat, but overall it just felt like FFXV with some added shallow complexities due to spell switching. The rest of the demo didn't impress me much. The map is mostly empty just like it was in FFXV. Now, it is slightly less empty than FFXV, but that's not really a compliment, it just means there are a few more enemy camps and a few more animal spawns for you to beat up. The game is still mostly a large grass field with some ruins and a walled city every now and then. If you don't mind that then Forspoken will be fine, but this is a game that has a 40-hour main story and I'm not sure the scenery will support the story for the full duration. I also wasn't a fan of the Cuff. I absolutely detest this trend of games leading me by the hand and treating me like I'm an idiot. Fortunately you can essentially turn him off in the accessibility settings, but the 5-10 minutes I played with him set to "default" chatter was infuriating. I can't stand it. Overall I don't think I'll be buying it on launch. I might pick it up at a discount when they add it to a sale down the line, but I can't see myself playing this one at launch.
  19. I don't think this is the expansion. I think this is just a free DLC to open up the colosseums that the game shipped with. We'll likely get more content announced at a later date that will be more substantial.
  20. It's fun to see all of social media learn about depth perception in real time. What looks over the line from one angle is firmly on the line if you looked straight down on the ball from above. The only angle that matters is the one that absolved Japan of any wrongdoing, but we haven't been given that angle yet.
  21. I'm going to do a top 10 this year as while 2022 was lacking in many ways due to delays, it was still a very good year for gaming. 01. Vampire Survivors 02. Elden Ring 03. Rollerdrome 04. NORCO 05. Signalis 06. Pentiment 07. TUNIC 08. Cult of the Lamb 09. Metal: Hellsinger 10. Sifu Overall, my game of the year was Vampire Survivors. I will always put innovation ahead of iteration and Vampire Survivors wasn't just a great game, but it created a whole new genre, spawned dozens of clones, and is one of the highest rated games of all time on Steam. This game was created by a first-time developer, Luca 'poncle' Galante and what a debut it was.
  22. The recommended level for the DLC is 60-65, but a lot of players wait until they're at least 80-85 so they don't get completely melted. As for the cut-off point? You can start the DLC at any point before the final boss.
