  1. That's where I'm at with the album too. It's their final album with Roadrunner Records and it very much feels like a contractual obligation album. This was album 7 of a 7-album deal and it just feels like they polished up some B-sides from the previous album cycle and released it. It's not a bad album by any stretch, but it's definitely not their most inspired work.
  2. GTA Forums have restricted the hackers account likely at the request of Take-Two Interactive. They also had their telegram account suspended, but they're now on telegram under the name LilyHowarth, at least until that account gets suspended as well.
  3. It might mean they have more. So far, the hacker/leaker has only leaked small amounts of the source code, but they may have more, and what they may still have could be the parts of the source code that are damaging to the project. For instance, this person could leak an excerpt of code for some single player feature, and no one at Rockstar would bat an eye, but if this person leaks the whole source code for GTA 6 Online then that would require massive re-writes as that would leave GTA 6 Online vulnerable to exploits, malware attacks, cheats and other things that could affect the players, or the security of the platform running the game. That kind of source code leak would give other unsavoury people the keys to the kingdom, and it would cost Rockstar tens of millions as they spend the 6-12+ months re-writing all code associated with GTA 6 Online. That said most companies don't give in to ransoms because it paints a massive target on them going forward. You don't want to be the company that gave millions of dollars to some hacker to get your source code back, because every hacker/criminal on the planet is going to descend on you like vultures.
  4. As far as I'm aware this was the result of the company Slack getting hacked via social engineering, which allowed the hacker to breach the company network and download assets. The person that carried out this hack allegedly also hacked Uber a few days ago. This hack is huge. As @villarule123 said 90+ videos of in-engine debug footage from GTA VI. Plus, GTA V and GTA VI source code has allegedly also been stolen, the latter of which could see GTA VI delayed internally by multiple years as they refactor code that could impact the games online security.
  5. The latest PS Blog Podcast here talks about PSVR2 and at around 29 minutes and 20 seconds it is confirmed that PSVR2 is not backwards compatible with PSVR1 games.
  6. I believe the Ni No Kuni 1 Remaster came out on PlayStation in 2019, so this is merely Xbox getting a bit of parity back in Japan. I don't think the announced Ni No Kuni 2 was a remastered version, at least they didn't say that during the showcase. Very good showcase though. Nothing mind-blowing as far as new reveals is concerned, but that was a massive showcase for Xbox in Japan that really showed their intent in that region. Xbox hasn't been this strong in Japan since the Xbox 360 generation, and it's great to see them take it seriously again.
  7. I think FF16 is a combination of Sony having marketing rights, but also the game not coming out until this time next year, so they likely don't have much they want to show currently. Some good guesses there. I think there is a chance something Silent Hill related could be there tonight as Sony getting the new Silent Hill, or the Silent Hill 2 Remake as a timed exclusive sounds like something they'd do. Koei Tecmo just entered into a contract with EA Originals (the good side of EA), so I'm not sure if they have anything to show and if they did, they'll likely do it at an EA event after recent events. The rest I'm just not sure. I think RE4 Remake might appear again, maybe with a PS5 exclusive demo like Resident Evil Village got, but I'm not sure about anything else. A Team Asobi VR game would be fantastic though.
  8. This State of Play is focused almost entirely on their Japanese partners, with some additional surprises from studios around the world. It'll be around 20 minutes long, and will be showing 10 games from PS5, PS4 and PSVR2. Overall, I don't know what to expect. The last State of Play for "not-E3/Summer Game Fest" was arguably the best State of Play of all time so that muddies my expectations somewhat. Part of me is expecting a nothing burger, while the other part of me is theory crafting the best State of Play of all time. We'll see later tonight, I guess.
  9. I'm not sure how long each campaign is going to be as Codename Red is planned for 2024, while Codename Hexe is planned for 2026 (according to leaks). This leads me to believe that the campaigns are going to be pretty substantial as they have 2 years each to satiate the fanbase. I can see both being £70 campaigns that are 300+ hours each. I don't think they are getting rid of the RPG mechanics for the Infinity games. The only reason Mirage doesn't have the RPG systems is because it started life as a DLC and was expanded out to be a 20-hour game in the style of AC2, but I don't think that's the norm going forward although I might be wrong. As for the multiplayer. They are working on a fully multiplayer game called Assassin's Creed: Invictus which will exist within the Infinity Hub in some form. If this is a 3D explorable space, then Invictus is probably accessed via a PVP/Multiplayer centric character like in Destiny, but they are making sure that Infinity is a multiplayer thing. The main campaigns seem to be solely single player, but everything outside of those campaigns sounds like it's going to be all online. I just wish they showed us. I know that the plan is for Infinity to launch with Codename Red in 2024 (delays permitting), but they can surely show us a proof of concept, so it makes more sense and is less abstract. It all sounds very Destiny with players roaming about an online hub between multiplayer games, or between single player sessions in the Animus, but until they show us this could be anything. I also have the same questions about playing Codename Red and not playing Codename Hexe, how does that work? I assume the Infinity Hub (whatever it is) will make it very hard to not play them all, as it'll ultimately be a constant way to advertise to the player new content for them to buy. The only thing that is fully confirmed at this time is that the modern-day story is no longer going to be told in the main campaigns, and instead will be separate and exclusive to the Infinity Hub in some way. I don't think that will alleviate the problem of skipping games though, if anything it may make it worse if the modern-day story in the Hub starts referencing things you should know from playing Hexe, or Red.
  10. Ubisoft are going to need to release a trailer at some point to show exactly how the Infinity hub works because the Internet at large is struggling. A trailer on how it exactly worked might have been a good idea. It's great to tease Red which is Feudal Japan, and it's great to tease Hexe which is 16th Century Europe during the Witch Trials. That's awesome, I love to see it, but Infinity is what everyone has questions about as these new games require the hub, it's mandatory. Is the Infinity hub a space where the player creates a character and walks around in it? Is it merely a screen before the game loads that gives several options? This hub could be anything. In my mind it has to be a playable space because Ubisoft need a way to funnel in MTX and Battle Passes, and having players created characters wearing their new £30 cosmetic MTX is a great way to shift more digital shit, so my cynical brain tells me it has to be a playable 3D space, but they're being vague to the point where it's a whole lot of nothing right now. It was great to see what the future has it store, especially Hexe which could be a very dark game, but I have questions about Infinity that I am sure Ubisoft will continue to skirt-around until 2024.
  11. I think that's why he went scorched earth. He knows his career is over. He's never going to get another world title run in AEW (provided he's not fired first) as his first title run lasted a week before he annihilated his foot, he then comes back and in his second match back tears his tricep and is out for 8 months minimum. That's two reigns that lasted a grand total of like 9 days. He's finished regardless of what happens with the third-party investigation surrounding the backstage fight.
  12. It's widely believed now that Tony Khan was aware that CM Punk was going to say something at the Media Scrum, but CM Punk saying he's going to set the record straight behind the scenes and how he actually does it on camera are two different things. That face, and the many other faces during that Media Scrum are faces of betrayal, faces of disappointment, and faces of hurt. Tony Khan is at worst naive, but I feel for him in this scenario.
  13. Everyone involved in the altercation after All Out has been suspended. That includes Kenny Omega, Matt & Nick Jackson, Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler. CM Punk and Ace Steel will either be part of those suspended or will no longer be with the company by the end of Wednesday. This latest info comes courtesy of Sports Illustrated.
  14. More info about the fight between CM Punk, Ace Steel, The Bucks, and Kenny Omega after All Out. The fight apparently lasted for about 5-6 minutes according to those in the backstage area at the time. The altercation involved CM Punk throwing punches, Nick Jackson getting hit in the eye with a chair, and Ace Steel biting Kenny Omega. Initial reports stated that the local police were called, but the local police have refuted that by saying they were not called to deal with any backstage altercation. The fallout from All Out is going to be something else and who Tony Khan sides with may have huge ramifications for the company going forward.
  15. I feel its 100% a shoot as he's not in a program with Hangman or The Elite, while Tony Khan told Cabana to pack his bags and go to ROH, so these comments aren't even to start a program with Cabana either. CM Punk is pissed off that those that sided with Cabana have been unprofessional in their conduct and he vented those frustrations in an unprofessional way. I don't think there is more to it than that and Tony Khan has a lot of work to do to put out this fire. Not sure what will happen in the fallout from this. I don't know how Tony Khan settles this with everyone coming away happy. It's an awkward situation as The Elite need to be more professional as EVPs, while CM Punk needs to be more aware that his actions impact those around him both positively and negatively.
  16. Credit to Stevie for finally putting his career ahead of keeping the Scottish word removed in midfield happy. We were much better without him on the pitch, which is something most fans had been calling for. This is a good step in the right direction, but we really need to start getting some wins now.
  17. This is the stopgap release while they put the finishing touches on Assassins Creed Infinity (set for 2024) which is the online live service endless content game. It's cool to see them going back to basics, but I would advise that people take this as a one and done because I don't think the plan is for the RPG systems to be dropped permanently. Unless it sells very well and then plans may change.
  18. Gerrard needs to go ASAP. I don't even care who we replace him with as I feel like almost any manager in the game right now could get a tune out of this squad. We don't have a bad squad, we don't have bad players, but we lack a manager that knows what he's doing.
  19. I was surprised at that too which makes me think this price increase is permanent, and may even be the first of many if the cost of materials continues to increase.
  20. Get the **** out, Gerrard. 3 points from 4 games, but we all know it's going to be 3 points from 6 regardless of who is in charge. This absolute fraud has thrown away a very important 12 points as the harder games start now.
  21. Seems to be the pattern with regards to Buendia that he gets his start in a game where we're set up completely wrong, we play like absolute shit and then he's benched for half a dozen games despite the fact he didn't do much wrong.
  22. For those that missed the news because Sony made sure to not tweet it out, or make any fanfare about it at all. The PS5 is now £479.99 in the UK (£30 increase) and €549.99 in Europe (€50 increase), so to those that haven't got one yet Sony just gave you all the middle finger.
  23. Welcome Sarr. I really hope this is the first of a few new signings as we don't need Sarr, we need a new CM and a new CB. Happy to have Sarr here, but it's hard to be excited about it given it doesn't solve any of our current issues.
  24. I try to look at Aston Villa through an optimistic lens, but I just can't at this point. This is not the start from a team aiming for 7th, this is the start from a team aiming to be firmly relegated by March.
