    Not all of it, not even a lot of it, but you certainly don't (shouldn't) drain it all off. Just lift it out with a slotted spoon and the right amount of water will be carried across to the sauce, or drain with a colander but put the pot straight back under to catch some water. That starchy water is for making the sauce coat the pasta properly, and hey it might even have some additional salt in.

    Yet the worst part about that recipe, despite adding a whole can of **** pineapple - juices and all, is that they drain the pasta and add the sauce to it rather than the other way round, undrained. Heathens.

    The mood would really not be much different. Thankful for the 3 points but disengaged with the aimless football, and certainly not thinking we’ve turned a corner by beating a 10-man relegation batting team.

    Excellent player is excellent. And McGinn is no captain. There was an incident yesterday where Young and someone else were talking to the ref before McGinn just popped his head in for a second and left. That's just one example of other players taking over the communication.

    We don’t have any “right” to be challenging for Europe. What we do have is a squad, level of investment, wages, and apparent ambition that says we should be. But we’re underachieving on that, we have been consistently since Gerard’s first run of games, and there are no signs of improvement - quite the opposite. The longer he stays, the more bereft of ideas we look and the worse the squad selections, substitutions, and alienating of players gets.
