Yeah from my experience of the resale platform all games will be sold out. It was genuinely difficult to buy tickets, I eventually managed to get 1 for Ecuador vs Senegal after a few hours of persistence and learning how the system worked over a few different sessions.

It’s hard to guess attendances. I was trying to buy a ticket so that I could get a Hayya card required to enter Qatar during nov and dec. I eventually succeeded on the resale platform but it was harder than getting glastonbury tickets. Not actually entering now, decided to stay in the airport all day (today - Friday) instead. Sold my ticket now but I still have an entry permit, so It’s possible that resale tickets are just circulating round people who want to visit Qatar during this time since there are no exceptions for usual business travellers etc.

Oh where was that? Need a few more trips lined up for next time. Will probably make it to chiang rai as well, whether that’s for an overnighter or long day trip or fly there first and stay and then head down to chiang mai. I’m writing this with a can of Singha on my Hand, getting a foot rub on Rambuttri, for a happy ending to our holiday.

Beer isn’t particularly cheap, even in 7/11 it’s £1 for a small can or bottle (which suggests high taxes) so you’re doing well to get a big one in a bar for less than £2.50. Food and massages are dirt cheap though, pad Thai on the street in bangkok or curries in restaurants in chiang mai for £1.50, half hour massages usually £3.50 or even just £2 on the chiang mai walking street market. Had my ears cleaned in a barbers and that cost a quid for about 20 mins work.

I hate it, it detracts from football as a spectacle, it's annoying as ****. I want and have already been asking for 60 minute stopped clock matches since I first saw the idea mentioned a few years ago. Problem eliminated instantly, matches will take less time with more football being played on average overall (typically 55 minutes of ball in play now I believe, but can be as low as 45 minutes). That being said, while the rules are as they are, we have to take advantage of them to our own benefit. The 3 points is what matters and it's time we did some of the shithousery that other teams not only get away with constantly, but actually get commended for and called "clever" or "cute". It's happened against us far more often than it has for us as well (not least because we're losing more often than winning), which I'm **** sick off as well. Look at the City match last game of last season - the ball was in play for less than 2 minutes of the added 5 (or something like that), and the ref didn't care, what can you do. It's bollocks and completely arbitrary.
