  1. Exactly Lowton would be far better in that position than Bennett Or Clark who's on the bench
  2. The best way to get the fans back on side! If Lambert lines up like that I suspect he's trying to get sacked!
  3. Christ, footballers are so boring, why do TV companies subject us to such tedious, cliché filled nonsense?
  4. Today we will witness the beginning of our Bale Over the top?
  5. BT are saying Bennett is playing LM, and Bertrand at LB. Probably just an assumption by them, but it would make more sense to me than the other way around.
  6. Brilliant news, hopefully we'll be safe enough to recall with a few games to go, with our run in we play a few teams that someone like Jack could really do some damage against ( i.e. Palace, Fulham, Hull)
  7. Nah, he's made his move to a big club now, and he's gone to the right one if he wants to play first team football, and unless Chelsea or Man City offer absurd money, Arsenal won't sell him.
  8. We aren't really that good either. 2-1 Cardiff. Yeah, but Cardiff are worse Also we're away, and we are much, much better away.
  9. The best way to get good players is by just watching the trade market, most players receive a bit of a dip in price if they are in TotW as most people want to sell up so they can try get the IF version. Also, try buying around/before the TotY and TotS announcements, almost every single players price drops drastically at this time as people desperately try to flog so they can buy packs and get the TotS/Y players, last year I think I got RVP for around 30k coins at that time when he was usually about 70-80k Also try flog the rarer players you get, I got Ramos in a pack, and although he is a quality player and would be good in my team, I sold him for ~50k and bought pretty much an entire team - with full chemistry - with it.
  10. I'd go with; ---------------Guzan------------------ Lowton---Vlaar----Clark---Bennett ----------KEA--------Bacuna--------- ----------------Delph------------------ Abrighton---------------------Gabby ---------------Benteke--------------- But I reckon we'll line up; ---------------Guzan------------------ Bacuna---Vlaar----Clark---Bennett --------------Westwood-------------- --------KEA --------------Delph------ Weimann---------------------Gabby ---------------Benteke--------------- Cardiff really aren't very good, I reckon we'll win 2-1.
  11. I share my name with Samuel Smith's Ale, although I think it's just a coincidence.
  12. I think he works well in a back 3 as he doesn't need to worry about his positioning as much and can come out and throw his weight about a bit. Unfortunately with our midfield, that would come at the expense of giving over tonnes of possession and limiting our forward play. A good 4th choice though, perhaps make him 5th choice so that when Vlaar inevitably gets injured next season he'll be 4th choice then.
  13. Thanks, double checked on the OS a minute ago and they were selling tickets again, so I ordered one just now Which is good as I hate talking on the phone...
  14. Despite being sold out, is there any chance of getting a ticket for this game? St. James' is 20 minutes away from me and since I've not been able to go to a game since we beat Liverpool under McAllister/Houllier due to playing Rugby and then moving to Uni, I really want to go to a game soon, and this match seems to be my only chance. Grrrrr, I should have bought a ticket when I was considering it last Friday/Saturday
  15. I really like Westwood, he's been a bit off form this year, but I still think he can be a very good midfielder. The problem for me though is, I think he needs a Keane/Makelele type midfielder - obviously not as good though - besides him to really flourish, someone who can focus on doing the dirty work and protecting the defense so that all he has to do is pick up the ball from Vlaar/Clark and then bring it forward and focus on starting moves.,Perhaps Delph could fill this role if we get in the fabled "No 10" in the summer? Sylla did this role very well towards the end of last season, and I think Lambert gambled on him doing the same this season, but he has been nowhere near good enough so far which has really hampered our midfield. At the minute, he's relied on way too much to be our DM and he doesn't pick up his runners enough and isn't very good at tackling so he often makes bad decisions in defense, which IMO knocks his confidence and makes him go into his shell offensively and only tries to play passes he thinks will definitely connect. Benteke's goal v Liverpool (H) last season is the perfect example of what Westwood is capable of, and if he gets his confidence back and a good, big, battling midfielder besides him I reckon he could become an extremely good player for us.
  16. Someone is currently selling an iPhone 4S with Flappy Bird installed on eBay for £6m!!!! HOLY ****! I'm seriously considering putting my phone up on eBay now!
  17. A new Subway opened up within a 10 minutes walk from my house a couple weeks ago, and it also happens to be next to a Tesco and on my way home from Uni. Pretty much every lunch I've had since I found out has been a Footlong Italian BMT
  18. Yes, they're winnable games, one of the reasons I think we'll get 3 draws in that period, and you could have said the same thing last season when we went on our little burst.
  19. Cardiff (A) - Win Newcastle (A) - Lose Norwich (H) - Win Man City (A) - Lose Chelsea (H) - Lose Stoke (H) - Draw Man U (A) - Lose Fulham (H) - Draw Palace (A) - Win Southampton (H) - Draw Swansea (A) - Draw Hull (H) - Win Spurs (A) - Lose So I reckon that's 43 points, I think we'll be safe, and there are definitely 3 worse teams than us in this division imo.
  20. Perhaps I phrased that badly, I didn't mean I thought he played well or was better than Weimann, but I just think that considering Holt is a big striker who was quite good in the air for Norwich, that when we were playing with Albrighton and putting it in the box through crossing that he probably had more chance at winning some headers than Weimann, as he isn't great in the air.
  21. Sorry, you've contradicted yourself there. You say no one has given you a quality other than Beckham's crossing which makes him a good player, then go on to say you agree with a post which has pointed out several other top qualities that Beckham had, whilst also pointing out just two of his other attributes which made him a fantastic player. In no way was Beckham just someone who could cross a ball.
  22. OK, no worries Hopefully the patch is out by March, at least it usually is.
  23. If the injury is from when he hit the post, one wonders why he didn't come of at HT? Was jointly at fault with Baker for their first goal, got turned inside out by Downing, maybe his injury limited his mobility?
  24. Andy, has the data lock passed yet? Despite having an enjoyable Villa save already, I quite fancy the challenge of seeing what I can do with this current team and the presumed £0 budget
