  1. That's because 1D "fans" are some of the most cretinous people on the planet. A 1D member gets a splinter off a fence, they threaten to burn down the fence and destroy the company who made it. It's a sad thing that this has overshadowed a very emotional and brilliant day, and the only reason this game will be in the news now will be because Louis Tomlinson threw up and Gabby is getting death threats.
  2. Is it bad that I instantly knew the tune to that? Yes. x1000000 I know it from a parody... honest...
  3. Is it bad that I instantly knew the tune to that?
  4. That's not angst, that's frustration. Now let's see... schadenfreude. But... but... it says angst In context to the video that it's from, it's clearer that it's angst rather than frustration. Possibly schadenfreude...
  5. He tweeted that his little brother is playing today, I think we should sign him as well, just in case
  6. He actually gets the ball, which makes it even better
  7. Injured off the pitch My love for Gabby just got bigger
  8. Didn't they sell their parachute payments already? I reckon they will go down this year. There squad is just awful. If they don't go down, it'll be a minor miracle as all they've signed are free transfers from the lower/non leagues. Neal Eardley, possibly one of their only decent players, is out for the season too
  9. Slight Breaking Bad spoilers? Possibly? Just in case... it should be fine
  10. But most of them were away, abdulaziz1, WBA's games are at home which are much, much more important if you want to stay up. Either you're strong at home and hard to beat, a la Stoke, or you beat teams on the counter away, a la us last season. I can't see WBA doing what we did last season, their squad is too old and slow, so they need to arguably win 2/3 of their next 4 games if they don't want to be in a relegation battle. They're slowly displacing Cardiff or Sunderland in my 3, not sure who yet.
  11. Personally, I couldn't give two shits about England, so I agree with you. However, I like to see Villa players do well and I like seeing them represent Villa on an International stage. I feel bad for Gabby as he could have scored a Hat-Trick in every game so far and still probably not get picked. It must be horrible for him to see comments from Hodgson saying there's no obvious replacement for Welbeck as he has been awesome so far and is a very obvious replacement. I preferred him to 'Arry as he's arguably the better manager judging from their careers, and he's not done a terrible job either. The problem is, England are horrendous to watch (even when winning 4-0) and Hodgson is not sticking to his own mantra of picking form players. Yes managers will always have favourites that they will pick, but when you start to bemoan that you can't play those favourites as they haven't played all season and are unfit (Defoe), then it starts to get ridiculous. If they aren't fit or haven't played, then don't pick them as they don't deserve it. Don't come out and say you will pick players on form if it's a total lie. What Hodgson meant when he said that is he'll pick players from the "top 6" and occasionally give players like Lambert a few games when he needs to fill up the squad and the media are pushing for them to play. I can almost guarantee that no Villa player will play for England under Hodgson unless the media begin to question why they aren't playing for about a year, like Lambert.
  12. To be fair to BOD, he didn't go public with it, he was asked a question whilst being interviewed on The Rugby Club, I don't think he's the kind of guy to just whine about it. And as he says in the video, he can't help how he personally feels about it, I mean, if it was my last Lions tour and I got dropped for the last test after never winning one before, I'd be pretty pissed, no matter how happy I was that the team won. Anyway, I'm going to enjoy Australia v South Africa, should be a cracker Holy Crap! South Africa are awesome at rolling mauls
  13. Woy on about replacements after Welbeck's suspension... "I suppose one would, if there were very obvious candidates," No call-ups for Gabby again whilst he's still manager then
  14. I supose technically Davies did replace him as he played 13, but Davies was the one who should have been dropped out of the two. IIRC, Roberts did nothing until his try, he made some brilliant runs but was never passed to, it was a role any of the centres could have done, which kind of makes the BOD decision even more baffling. They needed to sort it out though, it was getting silly. Maybe Adam Jones will finally start getting penalties against him now you have to bind properly whilst setting
  15. If I got the PS4 I wouldn't buy the camera. Not including it wouldn't make the comparison fair. Why? Microsoft have made the choice to add the Kinect to the basic package, therefore you can't add a camera for the PS4 when comparing basic packages. If anything it's a negative for the XBONE imo as I have to pay an extra £60 for something I don't want. I think Microsoft will lose some of the "on the fence", like myself, as the PS4 is cheaper and doesn't give you something you don't want.
  16. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/tv-shows/rugby-club/news/8907969/brian-odriscoll-resents-warren-gatlands-decision-to-drop-him Pretty interesting article, I still think BOD should've played even though Roberts played quite well.
  17. Are you going to be playing online? if so, you need to add the price of the subscription for psn+ Xbox Live users can just use the same account from Xbox 360 to Xbox One. psn+ and xbox live are the same price, a moot point really
  18. The main thing I like about this signing is it shows that we are now buying depth to out squad rather than just players for the first XI. If Benteke gets injured/suspended/tired/out of form, we now have someone to come in and play instead. Last year we had no one and had to rely on Benteke. I was one of the guys on here who wanted an attacking midfielder, but that was for home games and against weaker teams where we could change tactics to have a bit more to break teams down. Lambert obviously does not foresee us changing to a tactic like that so has not bought an attacking/creative midfielder as we do not need one in any of the tactics Lambert has used consistently whilst at Villa. Therefore I'm happy he's gone out and got a player that provides depth for our current tactics and not got someone who would be wasted and under-utilised.
  19. Thats complete rubbish. The difference being that their respective boards made the money available for the manager to sign those players while our board refused to back Lambert on several of his targets. Rodgers said Suarez had a valuation that wasn't met by arsenal, you could easily say that Wenger wasn't backed with the funds. Yet Arsenal then paid £42.4m for Mesut Ozil out of a reported 100m plus transfer fund. Considering how much Arsenal charge for normal/season tickets they'll probably make that back within the year purely from ticket sales, so it's not really a good comparison is it? (It wasn't in the first place either). Arsenal are much, much richer than Villa, so will always have a bigger budget. I don't quite get how much Lambert is supposed to have had available to spend, we aren't a rich club. Lerner maybe a Billionaire, but that is US Billionaire, not UK. Therefore Lerner has a personal wealth of roughly £700m, a hell of a lot for a normal person, but to run a Premier League team? Not anywhere near enough to keep pumping your own money into. Considering how much Lerner has already given the club (and lost), why should he put more in. If we continued with a similar amount of investment as we had under MON, then Lerner's personal wealth would be exhausted within 10 years, with Villa left in huge debt, much bigger than we have now, and Lerner would want a considerable amount of money from the club. I'd much rather have a few years of turmoil, reining in the spending and have a club that begins to climb back up the table and also turn a profit (or small losses) than have a few years of fun and end up with a debt of around £500-700m that we have to pay back to Lerner at the end. As much as challenging near the top of the table would be great, the only way to do it in modern football is either taking the better part of 10 years to get there (Spurs style) or have a multi-billionaire buy the club who is willing to spunk money up the wall for a few years (and with FFP, that won't happen to small teams like Man City again). I didn't use Arsenal as the original comparison. That's why I said it wasn't a good example in the first place i.e. SIT's post Plus, I kind of went of on a tangent to a more general point after the first line.
  20. Saw an article on BBC where Damien Comolli was saying he thinks Utd need a Director of Football to help Moyes with transfers. Fishing for a job Damien?
  21. Momo Sissoko was released today as well. dont think many great free agents out there for us I misread that at Moussa Sissoko, was about to say snap him up. Newcastle would really be going tits up if that started to happen
