  1. Don't think Luiz helped him in the 1st half with some of his passing to him today. As VC said earlier. get a proper CDM in front of the defence, i don't think the defence is too bad
  2. I think he is the kind of player we need. A fast attacking wide player who can score goals/create chances, a bit like Bellamy used to be. But he is so off form you wonder if he is ever going to reach the level we need. Play him every game until the end of the season. He could save us £40m
  3. Thats 30 seconds more than most the team tbh. Buendia looked ok when he came on, but hes not PC class tbh
  4. The moment when he played Watkins/Bailey through and they completely cocked it up summed up the dilemma we have. If we cant bring in better footballers than Bailey and Watkins, then we should'nt sign PC, even though he is one of the best footballers i have seen down VP
  5. And i know its not a popular choice, but i'd have Origi for a sum of about £20m
  6. Bissouma alongside Marvellous would be fine. I do think SG sees Chuck and TimI as our long term central midfield combination. If we are considering Suarez, maybe Dzeko, similar age would be a better fit. Archer is coming through, i think we need a speedy wide attacking goalscorer a la Mane to take advantage og PC undoubted talent.
  7. Couthinio is the standard. Keep players who are at that standard, or can get to it, and try and buy players that could be up to the standard. Stupid point, but Kane or Son in our team yday, and we win that game. Bissouma for Ings is a no brainer, as is Luiz for Abrahams is a no brainer. Watkins, McGinn, Sansom, Bailey i'm not bothered if they are here next year. Not good enough
  8. Highlighted the problems to me. Watkins and Ings, poor Kosna, always been a fan, but defensively made so many mistakes for me. I can see why SG seems to want to replace him. Midfield? inbalanced and rudderless. Couthnio was magnificent 1st half, but they realised stop him you stop us. Ramsey needs a rest as does McGinn. You have to allow SG the opportunity to fail, let him bring his own players in, and see if he can get them to fit in to his system. Son is good, but bloody hell we helped him tonight
  9. Commodore at about 25s might be a good outside bet
  10. The lad from Forest, Johnson? looks as if he is the next big thing from the Championship. Eze and Olisie have been the last 2, might be worth having a look, as is the RB from Middlesborough. Loftus Cheek might be worth a look as well
  11. I certainly didn't want to potray DS as a useless manager, far from it, we owe a lot to DS, he goy us promotion, brought on Jack, and kept us up. The next move was to step up and move up the league. Sentiments aside i think SG will attract the players to do that more than DS would have.
  12. Judge SG this time next year. Apart from 2 players, the rest are DS's, and their is a distinct lack of quality on the ball, and even balance in the team. No CDM, no quality passer in midfield, no pace wide, not enough goalscorers in the team, no forward to link the attack and midfield. IF he gets the supposed warchest in the summer, gets rid of some of the players recently bought, and develops the youth as he should, then the future should be better. Whether some of the knockers on here accept it or not, SG will attract better players than DS would have been able to, that is why he was appointed, not for now, but for the next 2 or 3 years.
  13. Dendonker as a CDM would'nt be the worst signing
  14. Martinez....fine Cash......ok today no better, should try and keep. Konsa..get some longer studs, apart from that fine. Mings...a bit slack to start with, but generally ok Digne....need better back up McGinn....Not bothered either way tbh, if he stays or goes. Hes ok no more than that Sansom......thought he was our best midfielder today tbh. Rather keep him than Luiz tbh Ramsey....Ok, needs a rest Bailey......either play him the next 6 games to have a proper look, or just dont bother. Off the pace, lacklustre, lazy Coutinhio...not at his best today, but you can still see real quality Watkins...Again not bothered if he stays or goes tbh. Works hard, but lacks quality tbh Thought the midfield left the defence a bit exposed today. Dendonker as a CDM?
  15. 2 central midfielders, at least one goalscorer with pace, and probably another wideish attacker with pace. Defence is fine.
  16. Wasn't impressed with Gomez Very impressed by Spence
  17. Or the players arent as good as he wants the to be
  18. I like his reaction in the interview. As somebody said on here earlier watch how Arse constantly pressurise the ref today, we had more bookings and less fouls, we are too accepting and passive. Interesting how he said some of the players lacked belief. I will be surprised if Luiz, Watkins, and even McGinn and Buendia are in the starting team in 12 months time. Too happy at their level.
  19. Couthino and Buendia could play together if you had Rice/Soucek, Thomas/Xhaka behind them
  20. Thomas showed how to play that role today. He doesnt play the ball quick enough. Hes not the only one to be fair, but he is not a DCM. I would have brought Tim on today to have a look at him against this kind of opposition. They were not that good by the way
  21. He will only get the Lplop /England job ih he is successful here. Some people on here need to get a grip. How many of the players on the pitch today would SG be happy to have on the pitch in the next 12/18 months. I would say 6 or 7 at the most. If he goes in 3 or 4 years time, i'm ok with that, but until then i am quite intrigued to see if he turns out to be as good as i think he can be. Getting a decent striker would be a start.
