One week was obviously enough time for Garde to expose the real CNZ, he couldn't even keep the pretense up for a couple of games. I will raise a glass when this guy is out of contract - it will soften the blow of being relegated.

This buys you one half of a good player - is it a surprise our team has gotten worse each year?

Full of errors and painfully slow on the attack. If we are breaking and Sanchez gets the ball the whole thing grinds to a halt as he takes several touches, looks around and often takes the safe backwards pass. He is so clearly suited to the South American / Spanish leagues. Hard to see what benefit he brings unless we are trying to defend a lead and need to stay tight (this never happens).

Didn't Laudrup get sacked from Swansea for cancelling training after a defeat to take a two day jolly to Paris? Not the kind of commitment we need from our manager at the moment. Would love an Arsene Wenger / Gary Monk workaholic type who will put the hours in until this mess is sorted out.

So slow news day, I'm on a train for the next 2 hours, anyone know when a player (preferably a centre back) would have to sign by to play Saturday is it 12:00 Friday? Realistically...last week.

Worrying stuff. Although I don't think Jonathan Wilson is giving him anough leeway for only being 23. Time to develop- I don't feel like he'd level those criticisms at a young English player.

I could honestly see this one dragging out till the end of the window. Spurs want to sell, villa want to buy - the delay just smacks of brinksmanship between Levy, who's looking to offload as much of Adebayor's fat wages as possible, and Villa who trying to pay as little as possible. Right now I would say Spurs would like to sell more than villa need to buy so I think it will get sorted out, but the longer it drags on the more desperate things will get until somebody accepts the offer or counter-offer on the table.

Why make that statement if he was undecided about leaving? He could have left on nice terms last week but now he'll be remembered as flip flopping money grubber. Honestly this makes villa look very small time.

If he'd have gone the first time last week, I would have said good luck to him. His contract extension with the hilariously low buy-out clause was clearly a guise to get us some (any) money if a big team came in for him at the end of his contract. But now (if the rumors are true), after that previous statement...no words.
