    To what end though? We are not winning the league or Champions leagues anytime soon. We can win the Conference League THIS SEASON so we should probably jump on that. Ask Newcastle fans if they would swap their disaster CL ‘run’ for a ECL final and trophy - I think most would.

    Brilliant draw against the 5th best side in Holland! Should be a cracking tie against a big club. There were easier ties available but this is what Europe is all about. Can’t wait.

    I pay £7 to park on an industrial unit next to the A34. 20 minute walk to the ground past Tesco and down Witton lane to the ground. Quick to get away if you rush back to the car after the game, which I do (sometimes literally running) since I need to drive 60 miles up the M6. If you are slow it’s the usual grid lock to leave the car park although the lads at the car park do a good job directing traffic. More than happy to pay for good parking.

    Hopefully only a couple of weeks out assuming its bruising around the knee from impact. Could be worse, at least we have proper RB cover even if its a step down in quality. Would be much worst to lose Martinez, Watkins or Luiz.

    Surely we should be willing to heavily subsidise his wages? He brings literally no value to villa as it stands, so even recovering 20% of his salary is worth while. Especially when you consider it could give him match fitness and put him in the shop window for a summer move. He also doesn’t use the club resources (physio time etc) whilst he is out on loan. Can’t understand why we haven’t got something sorted for him or Hause. Maybe the players prefer to stay and run down their contracts. It’s strange.

    Not sure I understand. Just sounds like somebody has traced the lions and added them to Shutterstock. Presumably violating our trademark. The club should look into that.

    Must say the latest ‘leak’ looks like an obvious fake to me. There were several fan made mock ups of the same arrangement. It looks good on screen at the ideal scaling and quality but I can’t see such a detailed lion working from a distance or for small scale uses (would just be a blurry mess), so I still think it’ll be the simplified trade-marked version. Maybe there will be variations on the standard badge by the club though?

    Stop torturing yourself guys. The primary badge will be the one that is trademarked. The sooner you accept the shittyness of our new badge the sooner you will be at peace.

    This has been coming, they have been spending heavily for the last 3 years with minimal outgoings. Without the dodgy sale of Saint-Maximin to Saudi they would really be in trouble. Not many bargains on this list: Matt Targett for £14m lol

    They really need to release the new badge soon. The fervour against the leaked badge is not getting any better. The Twitter thread beneath the official ‘reveal’ is going to be an all timer

    Sorry, that is also fan mock ups only at the moment, but seems very likely this will be a thing given how the current badge(s) are used. I may be wrong and the MS paint badge may be used for all situations

    The badge is shit but looking on the bright side: -The unleashed version looks much much better. Hopefully this will be used a lot. -The version with a detailed lion looks much better. Hopefully they will go back to the rubber badge with a detailed lion that was used previously with the Lion Shield. -I pray that they release a version that has no text; just a (larger) lion, star and shield, for usage where the text would be unreadable (Twitter icons and the like). One of the fan mock ups included this and it looked quite natty.

    The badge being a turd is one thing, but the comms are absolutely terrible. Still no announcement or clarification regarding the new badge a week after it was leaked.

    Nevermind: The deal was overseen by the club’s billionaire Egyptian owner Nassef Sawiris, who owns around seven per cent of the German company. Adidas has kit deals with some of the biggest clubs in the world including Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Heck out again!

    I really hope the club acknowledge that this is a badge refresh rather than a new badge. And give the reasons why we have ditched a new badge in favour of a badge refresh. That’s the least fans deserve.

    I actually do not mind this ‘unleashed’ version of the leaked badge too much. the text being underneath actually makes sense when presented like this, without the shield. If this is really the new badge the hopefully the unleashed version will be used a lot! Would still prefer the new lion to be used.
