Popular Post NurembergVillan Posted February 19, 2013 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted February 19, 2013 To give modern football some context, we'd need each of those 1 million fans to donate £38 so we could afford to sign Sergio Agüero. We'd then have to ask them for another £4 each to pay his signing on fee. Maybe £6.50 if he's got a good agent. The good news is it'd only cost us 20p a week each to pay his wages. So another £40 over a 4 year deal. So we've got a million fans and it'd cost them getting on for £90 each to sign ONE of Manchester City's players. Revenue is largely irrelevant. Owning the world's largest oil field is the key to success.

Think I read that over 300 million in china sign up / subscribe to the official fan club Probably a myth. The total number of Internet users in China is about 400 million, maybe a little less. On top of that, from what I gather football is not the most popular sport, basketball is. Also, not every fan supports Utd, so the number dwindles even more. Jimzk5
Isn't this facebook likes? Not facebook friends, its not like we have 1m fans, we could have 100k Facebook friends that have hit the like button on a post 10 times each. Id ay how many Twitter followers we have (131.600) is more relative to the size of our fanbase. And the 600 million worldwide united fans, that leaves 5.4billion people that think there rocket polishers.
