TheDrums
I read earlier from someone from the Telegraph saying they would have an update on Bruce shortly. Moose_talkSPORT Ian Abrahams I am hearing a Prem League manager will be parting company with his club tomorrow Yeah, it is Talksport. Hardly the most credible source. Looks like MON will be returning to management very soon if it is true.
villa4europe
Ssn are reporting some bookies have stopped taking bets on it as I said in the weekend thread he's gone as far as he can, the club has gone stale
VillaChris
MON to Sunderland will happen imo, emotional pull of his boyhood club and all that.
Zatman
havent they only won something like 4 games since Bent left. They are a poor team and lack of strikers was going to hurt them as all they have recognised forwards is Bendtner adn Wickham. As for MON Sunderland have a sell to buy policy and its not really his thing

Mantis
If MON goes to Sunderland it'll make for an incredibly juicy game when we play them at VP next year.
Zatman
maybe but i think MON is stubborn enough to think he could get a bigger job. He might fancy a go at England job if comes up again
TheDrums
Think thats Harrys for the taking. He was turned down last time. If anything his ego won't allow him to go back a second time.

VillaChris
I just think it will be the emotional pull, they were his club when he was growing up in Nothern Ireland so similar to him going to Celtic. And they do spend money, Roy Keane wasted about 40m there signing Manure rejects and Bruce spent 15m on Bent, 13m on Asamoah Gyan, 8m on Cattermole, 6m on Gardner, 8m on Michael Turner etc so MON would get money in January. Zatman
13m on Asamoah Gyan, 8m on Cattermole, 8m on Michael Turner that is some waste. think he paid about 4million for Matthew Kilgallon and has loaned him out for last season or
VillaChris
Yeah yeah it was a really scattergun approach when he first joined Sunderland, he signed about 6 or 7 centre halfs like Kilgallon, Turner, Mensah, Bramble, Onouha, Da Silva etc.

MrDuck
Been saying for a while it's only a matter of time before MON turns up there. He might have made a few dodgy deals at Villa, but compared to Bruce he's a transfer market genius! And they'll probably end up finishing above us too. Zatman
He might have made a few dodgy deals at Villa, but compared to Bruce he's a transfer market genius really? Would say Bruce has made some quality random signings in his career. e.g Palacios, Dugarry, Forssell, N'zogbia, Larsson he got for bargain prices. For example he paid 1 million for Palacios and around same time we spent 8.5 million for NRC

makouns_grin
Word Removed O'Neill will only go to Sunderland if he is promised cash and lots of it. Cheque book manager and wont threaten his ego with any less. Good to see he managed to get a bigger club than Villa being this amazing manage and all
