He lost to ODLH in the 2nd fight though really.

And at the very best for Mosley it should be a NC, because he 'unknowingly' took steroids for that fight.

I had Mosley winning that fight in a close one, it was closer than the first fight but he landed all the meaningful punches while DLH pitter-patted away. Similar to Slappy V Hopkins, depends on how you score your fights.

Agreed on the steroids though. Still doesn't stop me liking him, Mosley is one of boxings nice guys whereas DLH is universally known as a prick.

Incidentally if we're bringing up fights that guys could have lost I'll throw in both Marquez fights for Pac for a start.

Can't remember exactly, but I think I had Pac winning the first one 113 - 112 and Marquez winning the 2nd one 115 - 112.

LITTLE ROCK- Jermain Taylor (28-4-1, 17KO's) former undisputed middleweight champion has made a decision regarding his future boxing career. Taylor, who was a participant in SHOWTIME Sports World Boxing Classic last fought on October 17th in a losing battle against Arthur Abraham in Berlin, Germany.

"I'm going to take some time off from the sport of boxing and take myself out of SHOWTIME Sports World Boxing Classic tournament. It's important that I give my body and mind some much needed rest, because I have been boxing for nearly 20 years," said Taylor. "I plan on keeping myself in shape and making a return to the sport sometime in the future. This was not an easy decision for me, having discuss it with my family, trainer, friends and my adviser Al Haymon, because I'm a very competitive person-but I know this is the smart road for me to take. I want to thank SHOWTIME Sports for everything and I wish the best for my 5 counterparts who will continue on in the Super Six tournament. Most of all, I want to thank the many fans for their continued support."

Delighted that he's seen sense & won't endanger his health against Ward

I had Marquez winning both, the second one wasn't even close for me, the first one was about as close as the Mosley/DLH rematch, which I thought Oscar tried to con his way to winning if I'm honest. Same with the Slappy/Hopkins match, judges should stop scoring points for guys that throw punches that don't actually land, it's really rather stupid.

Thank God for that....Taylor is a good guy, hope he just retires and enjoys his money. He's got a lot to be proud of, 2 legitimate wins over Hopkins for a start, whereas Slappy doesn't even have 1 :P

Jacksonville, FL: Former unified lightweight champion Nate Campbell has issued the following statement, exclusively to BoxingScene.com, regarding undefeated pound for pound champion Floyd "Money" Mayweather:

By Nate Campbell

There's been some reports in the media that me fighting Floyd is a done deal. That is just not true. The truth is that the only cat who knows who Floyd is gonna fight next is Floyd himself. I do know that my name is being considered, as it should be. I mean, who else between 140 and 147 can bring the kind of fight that I can? I have solid HBO ratings for all my HBO fights over the last few years, and I have the style that can beat Floyd. And besides, everybody dont know this, but Floyd DID turn down a fight with me several years ago. He called it "slave wages" or something. So theres some unfinished business between us, and now's as good a time as any to straighten it.

Look, everyone knew that Pac's people didnt want none of Floyd. They can talk all the sh** they want, but they dont fight guys like him, or me for that matter. Only way you get a Pac fight these days is if you have no movement and stand there in front of him like a dead man. If you can box and move a little bit, you can forget it. You ain't getting the fight. But it is what it is. I mean, who leaves $40 million on the ground instead of taking a few tests? Cmon brother. I'm just saying.

But if Floyd decides he wants to fight me, we can do this. When Bradley wouldn't rematch me I figured I was gonna have to move to 147 anyways to get a decent fight, so the weight ain't no thing for me. And there's been alot of talk about blood testing. I did have Team Diaz make bullsh** steroid allegations against me after I beat Juan Diaz ass from ding to dong and took his "0", so I have no problem taking whatever tests Floyd would want me to take.

I know I match up pretty good against him, and I aint fixing to blow an opportunity like this over some tests. Like I told my man Terry, they can even pluck hairs from my sack in between rounds for all I care. I ain't got nothin to hide. But I gotta make it clear Rick, aint nothing been signed, or even seriously discussed about this fight being made. I ain't talked to Oscar, Richard, or Eric about it. But I'm easy to deal with. If Floyd wants it, we can get it done in one phone call. It's up to him."

Hatton back at 140lbs. Not too sure about the weight in all honesty. Could have a bad affect.

PAULIE Malignaggi wants to be the man to bring Amir Khan crashing down to earth.

Malignaggi, who was the last man defeated by Ricky Hatton in 2008, is hoping to be WBA light-welterweight champion Khan's first opponent Stateside.

The Bolton star is hoping to break into America in 2010 after winning his first world title last year. It is likely that Khan's next fight will be against mandatory challenger Marcos Maidana - probably in the UK - following his stunning first round victory against Dmitry Salita in December.

But when he eventually makes the step over the other side of the Atlantic, Malignaggi is desperate to be the one to give him a red hot reception.

"My team told me Amir wanted one more fight in England to hype things up then we'd fight at the Garden later in the year," said the WBO light-welterweight king.

"Over here we talk about Amir like he will be England's next superstar, that once in a generation superstar like Ricky Hatton or Naseem Hamed.

Hooked

"The first live fight I saw was Hamed against Kevin Kelley and I was hooked after that.

"I know Ross Greenberg at HBO and Lou DiBella like the comparisons to Hamed-Kelley, the UK superstar making his US debut against a brash New Yorker at the Garden."

Malignaggi lost his IBO title to Hatton after an 11th round knockout by the Hitman in November 2008.

He then lost on points to Juan Diaz when challenging for the WBO crown, only to avenge that defeat in December.

The 29-year-old's star is now back on the rise and was even considered as a possible opponent for Manny Pacquiao before the pound-for-pound number one confirmed he would take on Joshua Clottey.

His outspoken ways could make him an ideal opponent to help Khan make an immediate impact in America.

Spot the amount of mistakes in that  That dude needs to get fired

just seen the Hatton interview on SSN, the guy looks shocking

most interesting for me was his reaction to a kahn fight, you can see that for all the bullshit he says about warren and being mates he knows it wont pull a vegas crowd or big enough wage

this will be a pointless fight against another has been "for the fans" ie in a casino the otherside of the world and on at 4am once you've paid £20

With rumours that British boxer Matthew Hatton was considered to box Floyd Mayweather, another British fighter has thrown his name into the hat. Ryan Rhodes, the current European light-middleweight Champion, is ready and willing to take on the superstar.

Rhodes trainer and co-manager Dave Coldwell has offered his man's services. Coldwell said: “I hear that Floyd is willing to come to the UK to showcase his talents, and that they contacted Matthew Hatton originally. Well, although Matthew has recently arrived on the world scene with his last fight, a challenge for the IBO welterweight title, my guy Ryan Rhodes is currently ranked No.3 by the WBC, No.4 by the IBF and No.5 by The Ring Magazine.

“Ryan is the current European champion and is a big strong junior middleweight coming off ‘The Fight of The Year’ in Europe and one of the fights of the year worldwide. I believe that would be a fight that would attract less negativity and would give Floyd some credit for coming into a foreign country and taking on the best man there.

“Rhodes is now a big name in the UK and has the boxing fans respect, a Floyd Mayweather fight over here would sell out in quick time. If ‘Money Mayweather’ is serious about wanting to come and show the UK fans what he's all about, then Rhodes is the man he should come and fight. A legitimate world title contender, like I say, The Ring ranks Rhodes no.5. Now, every boxing fan in the states reads that magazine, and if Manny was thinking of fighting Yuri Foreman then it's ok for Floyd to fight Rhodes as The Ring ranks Rhodes above Foreman!

“The fight would be easy to make here, Frank Warren is joint manager along with myself. We could do a Mayweather/Frank Warren Promotion, I work with Hayemaker, we could do it joint with them and I’m also a promoter myself! There's nothing in the way. Rhodes can fight - he's proved that. He can punch and has balls. If Mayweather wants in on a bit of UK action, we're here and the UK fans would get behind it.

Come on, Floyd, RSVP!!”

I'm starting to wonder if Rickys comeback will be against Floyd you know....one last big payday then goodbye.

I hope not, hope he chooses a reasonably easy fight and then retires, it'd be the ultimate humiliation for him to lose to a glass jaw like Khan in his last fight.

I had considered that. Floyd would jump at the chance and Ricky seens to have convinced himself that he was in the fight.

Hopkins/Jones 2 is signed apparently
