Pisses me off that I can't get into Japanese 32" jeans but there's enough room for a passenger in US 32" jeans.

You've got to try jeans on, or risk a return? :o

Add me to the "Need new jeans, but hate clothes shopping" team.

I think I'll have to risk an online order and hope they fit.

I used to hate clothes shopping, I"m sure I've moaned about it on here before, but I quite like it now.

It helps when you have a bit more money to play with. That sounds like a brag, it's not. What I mean is I went through a large period of my life where I prioritised a lot of other things, money wise, above clothes so when it came to getting new clothes I either had to budget really carefully, or if I splashed out it hit me hard in the bank account.

These days I don't have to worry as much about that so it makes the whole process much less stressful. I quite enjoy it now.

Also not being a fat **** makes it more enjoyable too :D

Me and my wife, and we shall be down there Friday.

Ok - That's The Ivy out then :)

Why Covent Garden? You at an event?

There are places to eat there, certainly, but it's a bit of a tourist trap.

We are at some theatre to watch The Exorcist. My wife said it was right next to Covent Garden. If you could recommend somewhere else close by, that would be great.

These are quite different places and the pricing varies significantly :)

Rules in Covent Garden

Modern American Steak House in Brewer St

Yalla Yalla in Green's Court

Golden Union in Poland Street

The first two you'll need to dress up a little.

Yalla Yalla is Lebanese. You can stick to your own nosh or get lots of little things to share.

The last one is a licensed chip shop that does lovely hand made pie :)

Though you may not need any of these? China Town is between the Theatre and Brewer St. Have a look as you go, there's some fab places.

First time in London apart from going to the football.

Joking aside - I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time.  It'll all still be lit up for Christmas and look amazing.  It's amazing just taking in the surroundings, the people, the buildings.

I'm not that familiar with Covent Garden, unfortunately, so I'll leave the recommendations to the other chaps.

Hope it's the getaway you and the Mrs deserve.
