Let’s start the usual “better than his brother” stuff

Most of the older Bros, are usually the better..

  • Ramseys
  • Bellinghams
  • Gardners
  • Nevilles
  • Ferdinands
  • Littles

etc

Then I take it all back Cole Ramsey is destined to be better than Jacob & Aaron. Franco was also younger than Giuseppe to 🤣🤣.

There's always exceptions:

Charlton - Jack & Bobby (although Jack was the better manager). :D

Looks like our future midfield might read: Ramsey, Ramsey, Ramsey. Surely there is a right back amongst them?;)

Not the McGinns though. I know what you're saying, but I bet there are loads of other examples.

Statistically speaking the younger brothers are generally better though. At the very top of sports it's a small enough sample that it's just variance. But lower down the younger brother is often more successful.

I always thought that Gary was supposed to be the better prospect but due to injuries as a young player was held back. I also thought it was supposed to be the younger brother was better ( maybe playing close to his elder brothers so has an advantage). However the other two examples I know of from the Villa it is again the Elder one that was better. I.e. Brian and Alan Little and Bruce and Neil Rioch.

I didn't realise until I check on their age that I found  Neil claim to fame. He says he was  the first Englishman (boy?) to touch the ball in the 1966 world cup final.
