I remember either Shankly or Paisley saying that with the mid week European matches that they did not really train in the week. With the extra match they stayed fit and by limiting train they weren't to tired. If we follow that Tottenham might be worse of having their time off and losing their sharpness. Some times there are advantages and disadvantages at the same time. The secret is to take use of the advantages and don't let the disadvantages get you down.

Are you sure? There was a free kick earlier that was skyed over thee bar but if you watch it he does exactly the same. So did Foden spot that and aim for the same place. Who knows but Zaniola should not be doing that once let alone twice and why wasn't he told off the first time. Having said that he played well the rest of the time. I think we have better players but he is a more than capable premier league player. If that had been saved it would have been an incredible save (so Martinez might have saved it) but maybe if Emi was in goal he would have bollocked Zaniola. We put out a weakened team and deservedly got beaten but picking on individuals is not right. The all put a shift in. Lets move on

I think the really impressive thing is: nobody (rightly) expects us to be less than 6th. Therefore we have improved on last season as well as being in Europe and doing rather well. Compare that to West Ham who did get a trophy last year but struggled in the league. We are doing very well.

Am I right in thinking that the changes to the laws of the game has meant there has been an increase in the number of goals scored.

You have forgotten to mention teams fighting relegation can fight for their lives, Teams already relegated can have the pressure taken off and play well, and other teams can be on the beach looking forward to next year. As you say there are no easy predictions. It is however getting close to the time when points on the board generally out way potential points to be earnt. We at the moment have those points.

Whilst I dont agree being Left footed should be a disadvantage to him playing on the right, I do believe moving across is partly to blame. This is because his positioning by default is for playing in his usual place. I think he got his angles wrong ,either pitch position or goalies position. Therefore he didnt push the attacker out wide enough and so didnt shield the ball as good as he should. So as he gets used to his new role he will get better. I think things are so good in the Premier League that a drop of 1 or 2% in performance can be significant. So what I am saying is dont get too hooked up on us giving this goal away. Just blame it on the injuries and we are still looking good.

I always thought that Gary was supposed to be the better prospect but due to injuries as a young player was held back. I also thought it was supposed to be the younger brother was better ( maybe playing close to his elder brothers so has an advantage). However the other two examples I know of from the Villa it is again the Elder one that was better. I.e. Brian and Alan Little and Bruce and Neil Rioch. I didn't realise until I check on their age that I found Neil claim to fame. He says he was the first Englishman (boy?) to touch the ball in the 1966 world cup final.

I have a slight worry with Moreneo that he tires of towards the end of a match. Last season he was playing so well yet he was usually subbed. Obviously this season he hasnt but I am wondering has he been saving his energy. So being able to sub him might lift his game.

Wasn't Evans found not guilty at the retrial ?

I am assuming the commentators went on about it, ad nausea, like they did with Boubacar's it over the bar shot?
