Leicester signed a 19-year old Wesley Fofana for £35m when he had about 20 senior games under his belt. Doubled their money in two years. It can work, if your recruitment team is good enough.

Of course is exceptions but it's also a huge risk and puts unnecessary pressure on the kid especially when we maybe financially restricted

I’d like us to take a look at Pavlidis at AZ as I think he’d be a decent option instead or alongside Watkins. Looked tidy against us and his scoring record is amazing in an average AZ team. Inferior league granted but he’s done well In Europe.

He only has a year left on his contract too.

Also, is Martinez pally with Guido Rodriquez. His contract expires at Betis this June so would be a decent Bosman pick up for Kamaras spot.

It's less so about the sale itself and more an example for how that sort of transfer, even for someone with very few appearances, can be a success. Which it was, even if Chelsea hadn't paid silly money for him. It's risky but possibly very rewarding if the recruitment team is right.

It only turned out to be a good deal because Todd "Brewster's Billions" Bohley decided to pay double what he was worth.

But again, my question is, please make the argument that Alvarez is better than Watkins because I see nothing that would indicate that.
