Indeed, and the worry is that the more people that end up doing this, the more it'll create problems in the ground and the more likely it is that we end up with Villa fans finding themselves in danger. wedge
Got both me and my mate who I'm going with set up with Legia online ticket accounts, just enter your passport number and verify your email and you're in, no sign of tickets for this match on sale yet however there are plenty of seats left for their home game a few days after against Gornik Zabrze! Will try and get tickets as close to the away enclosure as possible if it is at all possible.
fightoffyour Posted September 9, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted September 9, 2023 (edited) Sounds like this might be behind closed doors or limited capacity https://legia.com/pilka-nozna/komunikat-w-sprawie-sprzedazy-biletow-na-mecze-ligi-konferencji-europy-uefa/18587 Quote We would like to inform you that Legia Warszawa is currently undergoing proceedings before the UEFA disciplinary bodies regarding our last match against FC Midtjylland. The club uses all possible instruments to ensure that all seats in the stadium are available to fans during the match against Aston Villa FC. However, there is a risk that the decision of the UEFA authorities may limit the pool of tickets available for sale. Therefore, the club informs that the sale of tickets and packages for the matches of the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League will start after receiving the binding decision of the UEFA authorities. We will provide further information on an ongoing basis. Edited September 9, 2023 by fightoffyour
Rugeley Villa
I’ll be surprised if the club sell tickets for this game even if it’s limited capacity .
OutByEaster? Posted September 9, 2023 Moderator Share Posted September 9, 2023 Well, that at least goes some way towards explaining the delay - the club could really do with getting something out to the fanbase with some sort of clarification, or at least warning. An awful lot of people have already booked flights and accommodation for this, if it ends up being behind closed doors I'm sure they won't be happy.
Villatillidie95
Oooof that’s going to be a punch in the gut for a lot of fans, I guess they could still make a weekend of it city break style

I'll be very unhappy in a decent bar in Warsaw watching the game with a big glass of local beer

Went to watch it in probably the second best place to watch the game, the São Paulo fanzone and I was very unhappy (for a bit).

That's away end tickets mate, will you still need ID to purchase through Legia in their end online? No home end ticket information available anywhere yet that I can see. Popular Post HFox Posted September 11, 2023 Visiting Supporter Popular Post Share Posted September 11, 2023 Alright Leicester fan here - lived in Brum for 8 years and still work there. Just some pointers when we went recently. Some of the stuff they don’t tell you! Or certainly in our experience. They were late with us on details. Collected tickets from a business hotel a good distance away from anything of note. We took 800 coming off the back of that covid (still had to test etc) which was actually a good end because you had no wheelchair and flask army. Always found our European games with barely any notice given you a good end because it’s people who really, really want to be there. Warsaw as a city was fine. We hung around Nowy Swiat - studentish area which is very lively. The old town which isn’t an old town is okay for an afternoon but not at night. There was a bit of trouble at British Bulldog but we were more clever than rolling up to the first British bar. Careful with drinks - one lad we knew went missing, woke up in a drug rehab dry out centre cos he’d been spiked. Common trick as well of over charging at the late night places It’s a huge city. Traffic is as bad as any other European city. Took us forever to get from a very near airport. Legia’s ground is a long old sloop, we walked it albeit three of us including my grey haired old man. Which probably meant no bother - most of fans went on buses put on from a location in the old town. You do large groups of their supporters hang around the entrances but the serious troublemakers will be setting up some display. They were very strict on passport and name matches. Which you will on collection but when I say check. It’s a 6ft 5 beast of a bloke. Hence I wouldn’t chance it with a home ticket. It was legitimately the loudest atmosphere I’ve ever been in. When they face a club from the bigger leagues, they want to crewate a show. Now after the game was where it was a bit nuts. As per all European games, they keep you behind. Ironically you get a really eerie view of Warsaw’s skyscrapers and Lenin’s Museum of Science from the concourse. They keep the food outlets open but no booze. Once they let us out - we approached the exit - but we were being allowed out in single file. Someone in our end had launched a smoke bomb and they were after him. They got him but still insisted on this single file approach where they stared at every Leicester supporter leaving with a camera in your face (Napoli do the same on the way to the game). Then we kept in this dark area at the back of the stand with a water tank blocking the way. They were letting out fans bit by bit but wanted you to order an Uber before letting you get away. Effectively they knew their ultras were waiting. As we got in our Uber, the plain clothes officer asked where we were going. Once wr got the bar we drank at post match. They were plenty of undercover keeping an eye on everything. The Warsaw police released this mad video on YouTube of the whole operation! Anyway that night we had no trouble at. Four of the lads ended up in a lock in with Legia fans and they didn’t pay a penny for a drink. Food and drink was incredible inexpensive compared to the UK. I think the most expensive things we paid for was treating ourselves to a three course day after the game and having a bottle of red for £22 6
Popular Post HFox Posted September 11, 2023 Visiting Supporter Popular Post Share Posted September 11, 2023 (edited) Enjoy the competition, can honestly say the trips for the Conf League were better than the CL. Anyone debating Zrinjski, do it. Our trip to the arse end of Denmark was the best one (although a lock in in Rome was life memory stuff) Only place which was a pain was Rennes whose fans were typical arrogant French stereotype. The night before we stayed in Nantes and had a great laugh. Edited September 11, 2023 by HFox 3
