CVByrne Posted August 10, 2023 Share Posted August 10, 2023 If we swooped for Zaniolo due to Buendia injury loan with option to buy then at least we're mitigating loss of a player. I don't think LM is Zaniolo position in the system we want to play. Maybe it is and he can cover LM and SS/10 the positions Buendia covered. Archer being sold hopefully means another striker coming in for Watkins competition. If we can cover those two we should be good. Issue is Buendia was clearly thriving and experienced with the League and Emery system. So his loss is a big blow regardless. They have never been known for breaking news first or exclusives, but they sure won't put something out there unless there is a concrete source behind it.
