A lot of their fans were open to Eustace leaving as they think their new owners are going to be able to attract someone like Potter or Nuno, Potter seemed to be the main one they were talking about. Rooney they seem less keen on, I don't think he's actually a bad manager, did okay at Derby, where it would be strange is sacking someone who is doing well for them to bring him in, them sacking Rowett when he was doing well for Zola, would be an obvious comparison to make.

Potter😂. All that this tells us is that monkey dust has arrived in Small Heath.

Unless it's this one

Wolves appointed Ian Burchnall as first team coach earlier in the week, their fans have been guessing it's with a view to Potter coming in should O'Neill fail, as apparently Burchnall and Potter are close and know each other well, Burchnall actually replaced GP at Östersund.

Obviously if he went to small heath it wouldn't be for want of better offers elsewhere, would be because he's been sold a project, they're definitely ambitious, have just had what on paper looks a pretty decent transfer window, and that was with FFP restrictions, next summer will probably look to be even more ambitious, so if it comes to it will probably feel they can attract a decent manager but probably not one on Potter's level, or his perceived level.

Scott Parker would probably be a good fit for SHA in next year.

I don't rate him hugely but ultimately he does have two championship promotions already on his managerial CV. Obviously talked himself out of the Bournemouth job and Brugge was a flop so best he'll get now is upward mobile championship club.

Eustace probably going to be the victim of his own success, they shouldn't really be expected to do much better than midtable, but because of the start they had now if they drop to midtable following a few bad results that will probably the excuse to fire him and bring in their own choice whoever that may be.

We will soon see with two defeats. If they lose to QPR on Friday then QPR will just go one point off them and they're currently sixth from bottom. As Bruce used to say "that's the championship for you."

I watched the game tonight and they played well and that Japanese guy looks a real player for them. Ultimately though don't have enough upfront  to seriously challenge for play offs

Corker of an own goal from Bielik, what was he thinking?!😂

Why would you want to do that?

Soft spot for Preston.👍 Would be cool to finally see them go up to top league for first time since mid 60s.

Rather watch championship midweek than yet another boring Man. City CL game which seemingly half this forum does to critique Grealish miscontrolling the ball anyway.

I think you've inadvertently solved the striker problem for them there. 😏
