Aston Villa Women

Central defence is probably an area we will look to strengthen in the summer, I think we'd obviously like to sign Patten on a permanent, but whether that can happen or not I'm not sure, even if it does, good chance we look to bring in another as a replacement for Rabjohn as there's a possibility I imagine that Meaghan Sargeant will be leaving, she's been injured the whole of this season and I think might be out of contract in the summer.

I saw a few suggestions that we might look at Ruby Mace in January transfer window, as Carla signed her whilst at small heath, currently on loan at Leicester from Man City, maybe she's one we could potentially look at, still only nineteen, so could take Rabjohn's place as the younger option, with the added bonus that she can also play central midfield.

Obviously doesn't stop us from still looking at other WSL players, but noticed this on Ewers linkedin 'Establish relationships with key stakeholders across the globe to widen the recruitment network.', so looks like we're going to start looking further afield for new signings.

Back on Rabjohn, can't really blame her for leaving as apparently we couldn't pay her what United were offering, and with wages in women's game being nothing like the men's game she has to take what she can whilst she can, just hope we don't lose too many in a similar fashion, U21s won their league this season beating Man Utd 3-1 on final day to pip them to the title, so seems we've got a talented group despite losing national final to Arsenal this week between league north and league south winners.

Olivia McLoughlin back training with us after her loan with small heath ended, seems she did well, when she joined them they were about ten points off automatic promotion, since then they lost just one game and won seven games in a row to finish the season, in the end they finished second and just one point off the top of the table.

It's been a dissapointing week or so of results for our various teams, really hope the women can change that tomorrow, Reading fighting for survival so going to be a tough game, but we could do with the three points if we're going to get fifth place. Good to see that Remi Allen and Simeone Magill are both available for squad selection and could get game time, if Magill comes on will be her debut for us.

Lehmann with the second and now Hanson. Really hope we can sign her permanently this summer, delivered great numbers this season.

What channel Farlz? Is this just available on the website or mainstream.

After the disappointment of the men's result  yesterday it's good to see the women winning again.

That Daly! I wonder if she'll start up front for England in the WC, with Russo on the bench.

20 league goals for Daly now this season is a fantastic achievement and she should be rightly proud. Hope she wins the golden boot award, as it’s been a brilliant season for her and the team.

Really hope we can hold onto her as the sharks will no doubt be circling in the summer.

Rachel Daly has twenty goals and five assists in twenty league games, a phenomenonal return, can't forget the contribution from Hanson and Dali either, Hanson has nine assists and five goals, and Dali has eight assists and five goals, Dali has probably assisted the assister countless times as well, she was brilliant today, strong contender for player of the match which is saying something considering Daly's contribution and how well she played as well, and good to see Lehmann getting amongst the goals recently as well.

Also good to see Allen and Magill returning after long-term injuries.

She is amazing. A throwback in many ways. She finishes with one touch so often . Her and Dali are like Platt and Cowans 30 years ago. Same wavelength

Just got to hope Hanson can be prised away from Manure. She is so important to our system.
