Well if it's as stable as it can be, how long before Arlene huffs and puffs?

...and on the spectrum of relative stability, is "stable as it can be" more or less stable than "strong and stable"?  It certainly sounds more stable.  Or is it stable as in doors and bolting horses?

I think the sensible Rouble would be on the latter

Tomorrow will be fun.

Tantrums are building up on the slightest whisper of what is in the apparent agreement. Ministers being divided and ruled, only allowed to look at the draft as she doesn't trust them to take it away. Not that they could read it anyway, it'll be hundreds of pages. They'll be able to read the precept at most.

Farce inbound.

She's seeing each individual cabinet member tonight on their own, they'll presumably be given the ultimatum of back it or resign. Thus learning nothing from her handling of Boris Johnson. People who resign do it to their timeline not yours.

Treating the cabinet like naughty children being summoned to the headteacher says it all really, that's not a cabinet, its an amalgam of people from factions. The cabinet is just a fantasy construct to give the impression of togetherness, its a house of cards and no mistake

Owen Jones is a ne plus ultra tosspot, but my reaction would be broadly the same.

It'll come down to how Labour vote. Enough Tories will rebel that it'll still need decent Labour support, but the majority will vote with the Government as usual.
