Must have been about 1979/80 And I did. Not the first time I have seen them though, its the third or fourth. First time I have seen them play in Birmingham though, and you could tell it was a hometown gig. Great band, Ranking Roger really is such a good front man, he had the crowd in the palm of his hand. His son has really stepped up his duties in the band since I last saw them three or four years ago too, though he seems to me more into into the MC/grime/dancehall scene.
