  1. Now to say something actually useful: asked my missus. "If it's the original it should have an embossed sleeve, vertigo spiral inner, spiral label and a poster. In mint ( no marks on the record) we [record shop, North London] sold one for 250. If it's signed and verified probably 500. If it's missing any of the above it takes a considerable amount off it's value."
  2. I have a cat. They're easy to keep and good company. And quite amusing. Dogs slobber everywhere and **** stink. Just my 2p worth there.
  3. Lenny Henry? (sorry, that's a really obscure radio reference there)
  4. Agree that the rules are not going to make any differnce to those outside the elite. At first they looked like they were designed to stop spending madness, but clearly this going to maintain a status quo where in order to break the champions league, you need to spend a bucketload of cash you don't have, which doesn't comply. It's been said many a time, but the Champions League is RUINING European football. It's also ruined us on a couple of occasions, with people like Downing pathetically spewing the "I'm at a crossroads, I want to play in the greatest stage of football etc etc". If football moves on, we must move on. If we are to compete for any kind of recognition or silverware in the future, we need some new multi-billionaire oil tycoons. It's pathetic, wrong and does not sit well with me at all, but that's what has to happen. Any alternative (the morally 'correct' route to take) such as building from grassroots, bringing up outstanding youth players from our widely applauded Academy results in a) Player has awesome season with us when promoted to first team league action Player leaves if Champions League conteding team wants them. So...just as bad really. ...and to think that they're going to change Academy rules to make it ever HARDER for teams below us and far beyond to sign youth players for reasonable prices just goes to show the rich get richer.
  5. Nice one Chindie- not only did you manage to put up a picture of my aforemetioned Alice Roberts, but I forgot about Victoria Coren. She's a right stunner. Although it has been mentioned, these are hardly "guilty"
  6. Get Pires in. Then it can be a menage-a-trois of ex-Villa has bins.
  7. There's some right scary ones on here. Anyway, an odd one for me is probably Alice Roberts, the pHD bird off Time Team and Coast.
  8. Takes a bit of tweaking, but my Windows XP has been working on my Macbook pretty solidly since I got it. This game is quite simply, the nuts. They've re-recorded some of the Morrowind music and bunged it in as well, bonus! Still, the 'R' key isn't working!!
  9. Um, I think I'm being a dunce...help! Crafting/Alchemy. It's telling me to press 'R' to Craft or create a potion/dagger etc. Nothing happens. I have the tools/ingredients, it's telling me I do. Am I missing something obvious or am I the first to find a horrendous bug?
  10. I just gave this a go and it's true. Any idea why? It's true. And, what is more, I didn't find this out by reading about it, I found out because I had to rename files 'CON' at work. It's...er....basically essential to our work operations.
  11. As a PC gamer, I have 54 mins left until Steam actually gives me permission to install this. I have a funeral to go to tomorrow. Is it bad that I'm still here, armed with Red Stripe and fags, ready to install and start? I think, yes.
  12. Sorry Davkaus, looks like I'm the gimp anyway. You need a steam account to activate the game. So, I'm going to install it at 7pm tonight and clearly not going to be able to activate it until midnight. That's rubbish, what's the point in me pre-ordering by post?! Bleh, suppose I just have to wait until tomorrow.
  13. You total, total, total gimp I read that and thought, 'oh. So I have it in my hand but when I get home I can't even play it'
  14. Pre-order arrived today with "cloth map" (textured paper more like) I'm pretty much foaming at the mouth.
  15. Has already been said, but it's only a matter of time before we do the same. Everything is about revenue streams, nothing is about pride and history anymore (apart from fans remembering and goading the opposition with it). If a club can come up with a new stream for....well, nothing (bar a bit of contract negotation), they're going to do it. This must have been on the cards for ages. It doesn't surprise me that Ashley has picked now - just before they play the big clubs as well, and might drop some places.
  16. Downing = not bothered, feck off Liverpool = not bothered, feck off.
  17. God, don't you know what our CEO looks like Shillzz? Jaysus. ..he's to the RIGHT of Mrs Wally
  18. Does he know he'll get a £100 fine It's not the money, it's the fact that they're late. Usually a sign of a badly run company, or one that doesn't want certain information to be made public yet. Although I mostly don't agree with Risso's moaning about things, this is actually quite bad as opposed to shit-stirring.
  19. Console, vs PC, Mac vs PC, 360 vs PS3... ...seriously, life is too short to be arguing about this. It doesn't make me a bad or stupid human being for having a 360 and not a PS3.
  20. I gave up SA because of a mission where you had to shoot a load of geezers on a train whilst you were on a dirtbike. So, I didn't even leave LA to explore the massive game map. GTA IV was good, until I got utterly bored by trying to keep up with friends. By that stage, I thought I'd sort my life out, switch off the console and keep up with friends. I think, had SA not had that irritating mission, I would have said it was the best. But, Vice City for me.
  21. ....this also sounds about right. They've not got the best of track records with this have they...? Ariel Sharon loved to chuck out a wobbley threat/quote when the heat was on....
  22. I really don't know why "the west" (i.e. us and the Americans this time) are focussing on Iran's nuclear programme AGAIN. Think I saw Bicks post above, but why the hell aren't we putting all resources we have at our disposal into the democracy reformation? The green lot in 2009 looked like they were actually going to topple the mad ayatollah they were so many of them. Where are they now? We should have done more....
  23. wibidi in London on Wednesday. Ex Super Furry lot, shit hot.
