  1. He says today was the worst performance he'd ever seen. Obviously never watched a DVD of Villa's Doncaster game under DOL.
  2. I still think both Venglos and Billy McNeill are far worse than McLeish. Although ask me at the end of the season.......... i would say he is slightly worse than venglos and on a par with mcneill
  3. Balls to that. Let's get NaffNaff or Joe Bloggs in
  4. Left wing my arse. Slippery really bad person.
  5. Distance isn't everything anyway. Just ask Palace and Brighton fans.
  6. C'mon Stevie, you can do it!! He's almost getting there, much to my disbelief!
  7. EDIT- not even going to post on this subject actually, tread starter clearly on the windup.
  8. I pretty much agree with these sentiments. He was a proper character, lead us through some proper heartbreaks, some awesome results, some terrible results (Happy birthday to me- first ever away game for Villa on my birthday: 7-1 to Chelsea, haven't looked back since and prefer away games now). Very, very frustrating at times, sometimes pulled off the backs to the wall approach (THE Man U game), sometimes not, players being played out of position getting out of hand. I will always look fondly on the memories he gave me, it's just such a massive, massive disappointment with the way he left us. And a proper **** you to the fans like me who always held him in such high esteem.
  9. I want to see West Midlands clubs do well. I will, in most cases, be on the Baggies "side" in their matches, I have no problem with Wolves or Walsall. It's good for the region's steadily diminishing importance in football, what with Manchester becoming the new 'mecca of football'...they're full of themselves. But Blues can just jog on. Any club where 50% of their fans seem to be absolute animals don't deserve my respect. They do not send out a decent image for the City of Birmingham; I hear they decided to do the all too obvious at Millwall today and kicked off 70's style. They bring shame to Birmingham. TRST, you are absolutely bonkers if you think this rabble deserve your respect or support.
  10. I assume a lot of Blues fans can't afford Playstations and whatnot
  11. I would say so. He's doing alright with these and he's got some proper turkeys to work with. Many of the Geordies' best players jumped ship with the relegation. He came in to pick up the mess and nothing was guaranteed. I, for one, thought they were going to take a couple of seasons before promotion. But he clearly did well for them. Edit- He's also young. I wouldn't expect someone starting out in the first 5 years of their career to be winning things straight away. I think we really do just have to accept the fact the neighbors have a better manager than us.
  12. Cameron has looked like a right plonker for trying to interfere with this and has played right into the SNPs hands. I say, give them want they want so the English can no longer "be the baddies". You want independance? Have it. Of course, I think it's a bad, bad idea for them and not great for us either.
  13. it lists basket ball, maybe they sponsor the major teams in the NBL? nope not one baseball? they list baseball so they must have some shit hot teams they are associated with? blah blah blah I've come to the conclusion that this Macron rumour has to be a wind up. Villa should not be selling themselves short and going bargain basement - and I don't believe they will. It's not. Kit deals are not really subjective to much speculation. You can't hide stuff like this, too many people involved. There's got to be at least 75% chance from industry rumors and at least 50% chance the deal will go through. It's not like a crazy player transfer.
  14. The media aren't anti-Villa, they're just not particularly interested in us anymore.
  15. Nothing funny about that. My feelings in a nutshell. It was more for the fact that he'd dismissed the entire book after the first page by which time he'd stopped. I don't think one page and then thinking "this is not for me" is a sufficient base for a review....
  16. I got me one. Bleak House - Charles Dickens. 3 of 23 people found the following review helpful: 1.0 out of 5 stars Urgh, 21 Mar 2009 By Nt Deregowski (Brazil) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME) This review is from: Bleak House (Penguin Classics) (Paperback) I couldn't read past the first page. It immediately gives the tedious impression of book vastly in need of editing. There is scarely anything that is written on the first page that conuld not be expressed more concisely, and this to me was a bad sign: that the rest of the book would be even more verbose. So I jumped ship. I have a feeling that Dickens is really a writer that appeals to a very narrow sector fo the reading public, but that we've all been hood-winked into believing him to be accessable.
  17. This game is the funniest thing I've seen on teh internets for a long time...
  18. What the....what is this? What's.....what the ****? I don't understand.
  19. Oh no, he's irreplaceable, must go out and spend another 30million on a player we don't need but another club does.
