  1. Boy waiting for doctor, Doctors, 2000. In loads of scenes lurking in the background for Amdani and Rownd a Rownd on S4C. Pitch invasion at Farrar Road when Bangor City won the Welsh Championship. I would like to add at this point that I am English and from Brum....
  2. The Go! Team - Rolling Blackouts Cut Copy - Zonoscope Arctic Monkeys - Suck it and See. What a change. I hated this lot when they started out, didn't get the hype at all.
  3. It's good to finally see a Welsh team in the Prem. I wish them all the best, well done our fans for showing the respect the occasion deserved.
  4. They probably are. They're just not your average neighbours with the New World Order being transfiguring lizards and all that.
  5. An ex is an ex. Probably because they were a dickhead or you were. I honestly can't see any attraction whatsoever in going back to someone that you've split with, but then again some people love the casual sex route and that type of thing. I'm a firm believer in the 'there's no such thing as casual sex' camp.
  6. Eck needs to take this lot back to football basics school. We can't pass a sodding ball within our own half
  7. Wales were actually becoming a team that could play football again. My missus is going to be distraught.
  8. I was accused of not doing the washing up in a flat of about 20 in uni. I wasn't in, so they nailed the chicken carcass to my door. Turns out it was someone elses.
  9. Man that is all out war. We're sticking to tame stuff. Finance seem to have an obsession with American politics, especially big fans of Barack Obama. We've been printing election posters for Michelle Bachmann for weeks and slapping them all over the place.
  10. No Heskey. Please. Must take a risk, must put out potential players, must, MUST put out a positive attacking lineup. If we put out another defensive backs-to-the-wall team we're going to get slaughtered. And I'm not even joking - Swansea will bombard us, they're not shy and Rogers has got them playing positive, fast paced stuff. They believe in themselves. Our players/manager seem to be under the impression that the top boys cannot be beaten and the rest are there for the draw. A draw a game will certainly not get us relegated. But it's **** boring. Ah well.
  11. Coventry, it's a city south-east of Brum. You know, The Specials and Nazi bombing. Oh, you were asking about the football club? Do they have one?
  12. You know, I've had a few beers and I'm bored (and the missus' is watching the telly and so I can't play Mass Effect 2), so I had a look at the sha forum. I know (excuse the generalization) that they hate us 'for being arrogant' and all (and, in some exchanges I can see where it comes from) but... Are all the posters on the sha forum complete retards or something? I'm honestly not trying to be insulting (yeah right) or funny, but it seems like we speak English and they speak...er....rubbish. Granted that I'm not going to get the in(bred)gags, but come on...
  13. Have you been VT fraped? I know SGC is the fisher of the century, but...really, why not? They've got: a) Money, and parachutes from the Champions League at that. Fans - selling out their smaller ground week in, week out with a season ticket waiting list c) A very good (yes, a bit bent!) manager d) Determination under said manager e) "Star" (or at least, very good) players that the club can keep till the end of their contracts I am asking for a massive shoeing on this forum, but seriously - we have none of the above. We have: a) Balancing of books and offloading of dead wood A diminishing fan base c) A competent manager that can't quite fire up his players enough d) A lot of England players that now play for other clubs because we couldn't hold onto them for one reason or another e) Fans that **** moan. I will add that I am no Spurs fan or anything - I couldn't give a shit about them - but they have reasons to be cheerful these days and I can see why.
  14. Just to put my post-Lerner publication comment in- I can't believe that after the story was published, the first comments that came in included that Lerner had cocked it up because he did it with the Times, and that it costs money therefore he's out of touch with the fans. This is -and this really is saying something- one of the stupidest things I've seen written on Villatalk. That's a comment worthy of YouTube's backward insane ranting comments. It might be one of the stupidest things I've seen written on the internet. Actually, scratch that last one. What is being implied is: a) Villa has hundreds of thousands of fans all over the planet, but none of them read one particular newspaper. The newspaper is extortionate in price. I hope we're all not total donuts and some of us are still able to pop round the shops to buy a National newspaper for one pound twenty five.
  15. A third of the cost of petrol pays for the oil, the rest is duty. The UK's internet rush hour is 7-9pm. (yes, that is two hours, it's a turn of phrase)
  16. Still wrong. There was about 15 mins of shock and no abuse. Then, there was...er....lots of abuse. Think you're remembering history differently to everyone else Mantis.
  17. They're well noisy. Hundreds of them in south london. Went to Greenwich park a couple of times this summer and couldn't believe how fast they're breeding
  18. option is predictably happening then. And we've only just started.
  19. Not sure quite how it's OK to be the chew toy of a billionaire whose daddy earned his money in banking but not the same for an oil baron. And I certainly don't want Villa to live within the means we seem to have available at the moment. Might just as well have supported SHA all my life if that is where we are heading. Bit like Tom Ross then.
  20. I predict a) A sale or 500+ pages of speculation expecting some big name to come in, squabbling amongst VTers, Blues wind-up merchants turning up again, only to find out that rather than being taken over, the annoucement is in fact a statement that Lerner has gone bankrupt.
  21. Curiously enough, I ran into exactly the same scenario as you with this. Picked up a mint condition velcro ISDN and thought, "this has got to be £30 or so"...got it on the cheap. Worth peanuts! Is Hangable Auto Bulb an Aphex release? Incidentally, I am looking for an Aphex release but can't find it for a decent price anywhere. It's the yellow vinyl promo (I think it's a promo) of Pacman by Powerpill. Tune!
