I realzie that using the phrase "'a **** disgrace" was way over the top, and for that I apologize. However I think it's a very very poor product they do offer. This is why: I've been subscribing for more or less two years with some pauses here and there so the interviews from months gone by are completely irrelevant. They've promised streams of the friendlies back in England, 1 successful stream so far. The goals compilation usually doesn't come until late the day after, the highlight compilation comes even later. Crewe highlights are yet to be uploaded. They do not upload the whole match which simply makes no sense to me. (If it got something to do with opposition scouting the streams wouldn't be up the first place) The post match interview consists of more or less the same questions every time and Lambert repeating that it's just a run-out(I know I can't blame this on AVTV itself). The quality of the audio and video in general is less then average. The camera-work is at times horrendous during interviews; shaky, weird zooming etc. Tripod(?!) The video player often get stuck in loading when you try to view a clip so you have to reload the clip several times before it gets up and running(in my experience). Very limited youth coverage. Very limited club coverage, except from a interview with a player who's either new or who signed a new contract which is pretty much a rinse and repeat process of Q&A's. As for the price, I think it's fair to say I expect to much especially when it comes to contet. However the quality of the media product itself is way below par even for the low price of £4.99. It's really a shame that something that has(or have the possibility to have) such an outreach to the fans is so lacking in quality and content. It got amateur written all over it(imo).

Rob182 thats your opinion, I have mine. They promise a service they're no where near providing, and what they provide is amateur-esque. Aston Villa is a professional club playing in one of the top leagues in the world and AVTV is a reflection of the club hence the mediocrity they provide is a disgrace. Maybe you're a season-ticket holder and get it for "free"? I'm paying for the service, and I'm not happy with it. Hence I've canceled my subscription, and you wont be hearing anymore whining from me regarding AVTV on this forum since I'm no longer a paying costumer. I think it's a shame really, because it's a way for me to support the club along with buying merchandise. It's also a way for me who live overseas to connect and get closer to the club or atleast I thought it would.

They use ages to get up the goals and even longer to get the highlights up. Wonder how the streams will be working tomorrow. It's all very dissapointing. I'm still wondering why they're unable to upload the whole matches, it's not like it takes 12 hours to upload a 90 min video these days, atleast not in the quality that's on avtv.

I think I pretty much disagree with all of that, but as I've been awarded my first warning point that's all I will say on the matter. If you can't discuss without the risc of getting a warning point, your argument must be rather poor.Or rather, you don't have one at all.

I don't see signing a new contract with a hefty wage bump as a road to redemption.But hey, he's staying and I'm sure he'll bang in those goals next season too, helping us climb the table and he'll get his deserved move to a real top club. Happy days! However his name will never grace one of my Aston Villa shirts. That being said, had his request come after two or more, good consecutive seasons my tone would have been different.

Happy that he's staying. But his goals will taste bittersweet from now on. I prefer to be under the illusion that our players actually wants to play for the club and have some affinity towards it and the fans. Ignorance is bliss and all that.

They announced coverage of the 6 friendlies back in the UK so thats a big . If they could start with similar coverage of the u21 team I'd have no complaints at all.

Well, OK. But the best of bad situation is hardly the same as being in a "fantastic position". The latter would be where Benteke had signed a new contract and declared great enthusiasm for the coming season at Villa. As it stands, it's unlikely that such an unhappy player is going to perform as well as last season and, even worse, could well cause serious ructions and spread demoralisation across your squad. Your club decision makers will have to decide whether the risks involved are worth turning down a transfer profit of £11m (my guess), being able to reinvest £19m in the squad and move on with a united set of players. I'm not saying that Benteke's sale to Spurs will happen, but I am saying that the choices are more limited and more difficult than the vast majority of posts in this thread would indicate. Spurs have lost several really good players in recent seasons - it's the way of the world. But we've mostly emerged with a stronger squad, because the sale proceeds have been spent mostly wisely. Villa can do the same. Is it just me that finds his posts incredibly patronising. Nope, to me he comes off rather obnoxious. However people are being very touchy about Beneteke

Even though the fee is quite low, the quality is poor and there is very little content.The editing reminds me of stuff we did at the media lab as kids back in school. And nothing personal towards JW but he comes off as a complete tool. "And the sun is coming out today Paul(or something like that)". Some of the questions he asks just feels uncomfortable to me as a viewer. It's a dead certain face palm when he opens his mouth. AVTV itself consist of poor editing. Very limited content, it's pretty much an "exclusive" interview with a new player that comes in. And that's what they offer, and the interview itself is pretty poorly done. There's close to zero coverage of the youth team(which other club tv's got). They rarely cover friendlies. When they do cover something, theres something that goes wrong, either the video or audio feed. For me AVTV is a way of supporting the club. But I'm pretty sure I'll cancel my subscription. AVTV is stoneage compared to other club tvs.
