    Houllier's season was a proper season of 'transition' you could see the style of play he wanted to adopt but some of the players he had meant that he couldn't achieve instant results which many expect on here. Shame really, some people want Martinez for his style of play but judging by last season those people would also call for his head if we are instantly Barcelona mk. 2.

    I reckon we'll keep Bent this season but he'll be off come Jan/next summer, we lose those key players after they have a storming season if you want to talk about patterns. We're not a top club who can keep players like these we are a stepping stone club, always have always will.

    Like you said Lerner has the final say, Faulkner wasn't in charge of finding a new manager. From what I remember Lerner had used a headhunting business to draw up a list of candidates which McLeish was on. Lerner had final say on McLeish not Faulkner. And financially? No he hasn't **** up. In the season he has arrived at the club turnover has improved by £15m from the previous season. So what bad decision has Faulkner actually made without Lerner around?

    Ref is trying his very best to help Arsenal win, 2 very poor decisions already.

    Somehow I doubt that. McLeish appears very fond of the likes of Warnock, Dunne and Collins. I can't see him shipping them out even if he could. Just because he's not fond of them doesn't mean he shouldn't play them, even though they're clearings in the woods they're still better than the kids at this moment in time.

    Don't think fans are patient enough for the style of play Martinez would want to adopt. (Many were complaining about how we weren't winning enough under Houllier with the way we were playing). Lambert however would achieve instant results with the players here and his style of play.

    I think it was Mat Kendrick or someone on here said he was a bit of a loner in the dressing room and had no real friends. He needs time to settle into the Prem not all foreign players can hit the ground running (like Cabaye etc...), hopefully with N'Zogbia being here he could feel more at home.

    A mixture between passing and direct I say, focuses a lot on counter attack from the games I saw as well.
