    We went there to get a point, but found ourselves ahead after 10 mins which is when McLeish should of got the team to attack not defend. Unfortunately the defensive game plan meant we were always going to concede which we did. We defended well for the majority of the game, although you can blame McLeish for the defensive park the bus plan you can't blame him for our team's inability to keep the ball. Should of had a penalty at the end as well.

    Optimistically I can see us picking up points against Liverpool, Stoke, Sunderland, Norwich and Baggies and surviving on around 40 - 45 points, however that is unlikely to be the case.

    Weren't Paul Faulkner bought in to steady the club's finances, when Randy Lerner realised the club was going to shit in wages, sustainability etc...? I feel that if he weren't appointed CEO then Villa would be in a much worse financial state than it currently is. So as far as the finances go I think he's doing an alright job considering the circumstances, whereas in terms of the footballing side of things he's hopeless.

    If I remember correctly, at one point in the game Gary Gardner was in the middle of the pitch and seemed to me like he was arguing with McLeish waving his arms etc around

    Clearly our most important player, definitely an automatic starter and he needs to be here next season.

    Come off it people Heskey weren't at fault for conceding the two goals, it was McLeish who obviously told them to sit back and defend the point.

    If it weren't obvious before, it's was clearly obvious today that McLeish sets the team out to concede as little as possible (even though we're pretty shit in defence), there was no reaction when we went a goal down and for the majority of the second half after we went 2 down. It seems he'll only let the shackles off until there is only 15 minutes left and even then when we equalised he went back to his sit deep and try to concede bullshit plan.

    We know this team can attack (proven with the goals today) just McLeish has us playing too deep for the majority of the game to try and not concede, even then he still doesn't change anything after we go a goal down. For the rest of the games this season we need to just go out and attack, sure we will concede shit loads but we will score. We need to go for it much like the teams below and around us.
