I'd play 4-3-3 against the big teams in November with all Benteke, Bent and Weimann up front, we got nothing to lose against them I guess.

That's what I fear though, I simply don't think we have the quality in midfield no matter who Lambert selects.

What is Randy to do, magically open up the transfer window right now and sign players? He gave Lambert quite a lot of money in the summer who chose to sign lots of unexperienced young players rather than 1 or 2 experienced. I am confident he will give Lambert much needed funds in January and if we are properly in the shit at christmas then maybe he will spend massively (Darren Bent type signings.)

We definitely need to sign experience and quality in January, this side even with Bent in it is not Premier League quality, maybe in a few years but definitely not now.

I nearly choked reading your post. Harry Redknapp? Lambert failed? I understand we have been poor but you simply can not come to that conclusion after 9 games.

He should of kept Gabby on once we went to 10 men to offer the counter attack. Felt Bannan should of also played.

Justified his selection however I would play him with Bent against Sunderland.

We either play El Ahmadi or Delph not both, KEA may have fancy touches but often gives the ball away and doesn't pressure the opposition at all.

I would of thought that playing one up front means you have to have creative attacking midfielders behind him and a 4-4-2 would require decent wingers.

Our ball retention is certainly better when he plays.

If we're not going to play direct with wingers then we might as well sell Bent. He has no influence on the game whatsoever with the system Lambert is trying to get us to play.
