  1. I doubt that. When Israel fights, it’s in the knowledge that if they lose just once, their country will cease to exist. That would tend to engender a hard nosed attitude to any perceived threat.
  2. Needs to be benched for now. We looked more dangerous when Bailey came on. Will hopefully come again for us. He is undoubtedly a quality player, just lost his way at the moment.
  3. That claim is yet to be corroborated. If they were Hamas, then it isn’t assassination. Wars a dirty business, it’s why it isn’t a good look for either side.
  4. The other side to that coin, is why we’re Hamas gunmen in a hospital?
  5. Tories haven’t quite grasped the concept of free people withdrawing their Labour in pursuance of a decent pay and conditions agreement. They prefer a system that compels those free people to do as they’re told. Industrial slavery.
  6. Not at all. His performance levels have markedly improved .
  7. Nice that teams want to pinch our players. Nicer still to tell them all to f*** k off.
  8. Prior to all seating, Villa Park was often attracting upwards of 60,000 fans.I myself attended. 62,000 crowd matches 50, 000 was not unusual. It’s a myth that people couldn’t cope.
  9. There are no Conservatives with a small c anymore. They’re all C***s with a capital C.
  10. What they should reflect. Is truth to power. God help us if they are simply there to reflect the views of any particular group above others. Incidentally the Tories have never polled above 50%. Labour got close in 1945 with 49.71%. Guess people found their consciences and wanted that war to mean something. Hopefully the British people are about to have another epiphany.
  11. Is it? I was simply highlighting a genuinely biased TV outlet as opposed to the BBC. I could just as easily chosen a State owned Broadcaster from another country. Poland, Hungary, Russia and many others are examples of many that lost, or never had, a claim to be truly impartial from Government influence. Look. I get the BBC ain’t perfect, but to read some on here, they are being overly critical in my view. There’s a reason the Tories hate the BBC, they can’t control its output to the extent they would like, long may it remain so.
  12. Taking the tour with an ex player can be good too. My two Grandchildren were shown around by Alan Mcinally. He was brilliant, loads of good stories. The look on their faces when they later saw him on Sky Sports was a picture. As a side, I took the tour of Villa Park with my school in 1968, Alan Bennet the club secretary, was our guide, as I remember, a really nice guy. Obviously the “ old “ Villa Park was still in situ then. Villa Park oozed history and tradition, even if we were entering a difficult period for the club. Glad I saw a tour, that cannot be replicated now, has stayed with me all my life.
  13. Having watched TV across many different countries, the idea that the BBC is biased on a grand scale, simply doesn’t hold up. Just watch Fox News across the pond, it’s excruciating. We may not like everything reported on the BBC, we may think it can often reflect a bias, but get a grip people. There are countries out there who’s citizens are desperately seeking a news channel that is as good as the BBC. And I speak as someone who detests Laura Kuenssberg.
  14. Their only reason for existence is to hate us. Let em rot in their own irrelevance. We’ve got bigger fish to fry.
  15. No player is indispensable.Top teams have sold top players continuously. It’s using the money wisely that’s the tough bit.
  16. I worked at JLR for 40 years, trust me there are more Villa fans than noses there.
  17. 7133, is the attendance, supposedly . We get more than that in the shop.
  18. Players come and players go. Every top team has at some stage sold top players. If he goes for £100,000,000. Then use that money wisely, and we could benefit. Stay or go, I trust Unai to manage this either way.
  19. Bit early to write us off yet. Depends how they react to a poor performance. Maybe this will prompt some activity in the transfer market. Another striker would be nice.
  20. Moan as much as you like about officials, but if we don’t win these games, it’s primarily down to our own failings.
  21. We need to find our shooting boots. Earlier this season we looked much more dangerous in front of goal. Too timid.
  22. The graphic seems to confirm the trend of the older Tory voter’s dying off faster than the Labour voters, who are weighted towards younger voters. Long term, it doesn’t look good for the Tories
  23. He is actually. This will undoubtedly be the greatest challenge of his career.
  24. It’s important to remember that the Welfare State is there as a safety net for all of us. Not just those unfortunate to have to rely on it right now. When this bastard decides to finance his own governments failings by targeting the most vulnerable, who are already struggling with some of the lowest benefits in Europe. We should all feel less secure. The man’s a c***t.
  25. The majority of Birminghams areas are Villa. Saw a survey a few years ago where using online registrations of football fans on sites such as Facebook, only Bordesley Green and one other area was majority Small Heathens. It’s why they get such poor crowds. The old North South divide disappeared many years ago. We own this City….all of it.
