Spending on stadiums and any other infrastructure doesn’t count towards FFP.

Every time we get a sniff of the top of the Premiership we bottle it. Pathetic second half. Simply meekly gave up the initiative.

Most of our players have improved under Emery. Matty , sadly, has regressed. Need a replacement ASAP.
-
He may turn out to be a dud. Gave the ball away with alarming regularity.

That would apply to October the 7th even more so.

Taking my two grandkids to their first games tonight, one’s mad keen for it, the others so, so. Have to keep working on her.

I remember it well. It’s how my Grandad felt when Hitler topped himself.

Clement Attlee said no such thing.

So are you in favour of relocating Villa Park to a more accessible site then. Because those cars aren’t going away.
-
Nothing in any infrastructure work will reduce the amount of cars in society.

Well I’m 68, love Villa Park, but honestly, if it means we get a great new Villa Park, I’d have no problem. The only thing historic about our stadium now, is the site. Old Villa Park disappeared many years ago. Can’t imagine any fans of the clubs now enjoying state of the art facilities in their new stadiums would switch back to what they had before.
-
Wasn’t a problem pre all seater stadiums. As I’ve said before, I attended many games at VP North of 50,000 attendances, a couple in excess of 60,000. FA Cup semi finals were also way above what we get now. This infrastructure thing is overblown. Yes it would need improving, but it isn’t something that a few extra trains and buses couldn’t cope with.

Most of the mega bucks from the Champions League comes from sources other than the gate receipts. You could close the ground completely and still rake in millions.
-
Depends how much money you want to throw at it. Everything has its price.
-
Actually, the only thing historic about Villa Park now, is the site. There isn’t a stand older than the 1970s. I’ve been going since the 1960s and there’s nothing of the old Villa Park left. If we ever did move into a mega stadium, near the centre of the city, I’d be all for it. It’s important to value a clubs history, just don’t frustrate the potential of the club with it.
-
Before the advent of all seater stadiums, Villa Park frequently had attendances North of 50,000. I personally was in a crowd of 62,000. It really isn’t a deal breaker.

He may well be. Just have to show the same patience with Diaby that we have with Leon.
