  1. I don't think it's a certainty SNE (that he would be better under another manager), but I don't see him as being anywhere near as bad or as 'toxic' as the others you mention (Hutton and Sanchez aside). I'd give Westwood more leeway when it comes to the initial cull and see what he could do in a decent, motivated side with good coaching. Bad apples out first, build a team of motivated and committed players - then start upgrading the Westwoods of the world when things are on a solid foundation.
  2. Mediocre is a distant dream at the moment! I long for the day we can once again stand proudly and call ourselves mediocre.
  3. If you honestly think we will be able to replace 'these players' (assuming you mean most of them), with better players, by spending less money, in a lower league and offering lower wages than the 'poverty prem' budget we had this year - it's going to be a summer (and subsequent season) of disappointment. Proper management, proper coaching and half a dozen ins and outs is what's required. Replacing Westwood, shouldn't even be in the new guys top 10 'to do list' when he arrives.
  4. What did you think of episode 6? The fight in the prison with the Albino? Goddamm that was insane.
  5. It's right up there with the best. Utterly, utterly brilliant from start to end. Every episode is pure class. Can't wait for the second (and final) series.
  6. Is that relevant though? Regardless of how 'racist' a country is or not, if they have (what appears to be) a pretty good way of looking at immigration, then It's something we should consider. If this country doesn't get a grip of the immigration issue, the situation is just going to get worse. Racism on both sides will continue to rise and pave the way for more extremism. I think a points system, based on the needs of the country and a policy of 'spreading' immigration around is the way to go.
  7. The other point on Westwood for me is, he's had to try and 'develop' during one of the worst periods in our modern history. Brought in on a shoestring, expected to make a huge step up, at a young age and in a complete shambles of a team. Same for the likes of Clarke, Baker and Okore - all young players, who need good coaching and good players around them. They have had neither, yet we expect them get better and improve? How does that work then? Westwood is part of a young(ish) group that I think with the right coaching and the right atmosphere, could still turn out to be decent for us,
  8. It gets loads better. It's absolute class, I'm gutted the next series is the last. Hood will grow on you and Proctor is badass.
  9. I'm in that club too! Do you play this in FP?
  10. Nic Cage was in Con Air. Con Air is amazing. Nic Cage is amazing. Saw Bats V Supes the other day, not the clusterfunk some are making it out to be - it was ok. Affleck wasn't completely turd and Jesse Eisenberg was good as Luthor (bar a touch too much Heath Ledger Joker about him at times) Supes and Lois Lane are the weak links.
  11. The new manager will have to be pragmatic and I think we need to be realistic about the summer. As bad as its been and as much as we all hate almost everybody associated with the first team at the moment, I don't think there will be the complete wholesale clearout some want. We have no assets of any real value, nobody that's going to go for a decent fee. We need to hope we can off load the prime suspects and that Hollis can magic up £10-15m from somewhere. We wont have the funds for many players and there has to be an emphasis on quality over quantity. Despite everything, there are some decent players here, who with the right additions alongside them and the right manager guiding them, could form a good side next year.
  12. I know I'm in the minority, but he's one I hope we keep. I do think there's a good player in there, not brilliant by any means, but he's capable of being very good in the chumpionship. He's got a good attitude, he works hard and he still seems like he wants to be here. He's not improved as much as I'd hoped in his time here so far, but to be fair has anybody? No quality to help him along when he first arrived, no quality around him since. His passing is too cautious, but again look at what's around him, the movement is non existent. He's got a good touch, he moves the ball quickly and in a decent team I think he's a capable player.
  13. I see what your saying there, but it isn't necessarily the cheapest or the simplest way of looking at it. £10k over 3 years with no interest is £277 pm repayment. Then you've got insurance, road tax, routine service, tyres, breakdown cover, MOT and dependant on age/mileage/condition probably at least one major service/repair. Then there's fuel - cars get old pretty quick in terms of MPG. Then the hassle of selling it private, or having your pants pulled down by we buy any car or on a trade in when you want to change. For what? A couple of grand to put down on the next one? For less than the loan repayment on its own, you could get something decent with all of that bollocks above chucked in. 2 or 3 year contract. Fuel it and **** off
  14. The trailer on the BBC looks decent to be fair! its either not going to be the epic **** I thought, or the person who did the trailer deserves a raise!
  15. 57-1 on HvV with Nunb - raider camp map. 7 rounds. Hands down the best I've ever done on an online shooter, by some distance. I feel like I deserve a reward
  16. My 9 year old would probably have a game with you, he's in bed at 8:30 though! I tried to get into it, but playing split screen with my lad makes me feel sick and when I've played it on my own, I'm just not feeling it. It's like a poor mans destruction derby with a ball.
  17. I've got better with Greedo now. You have to keep your distance and if playing HvV, I tend to try and support Vader or Uncle Palpy. The trick is to keep chucking your grenades and watching them upgrade and make good use of the sensor scan. You have to stay in cover, with support - out on his own he's weak. Although strangely I've beaten Luke twice 1v1 when cornered, but if you get stuck up against Solo, Leia or Nunb it's game over. He's brilliant on Sullust if you keep by the rocks where the ship is parked. Use the sensor, keep popping up from cover and pick em off. You only use if your teammates go charging straight into the heroes like complete divs. Nunb reigns supreme though, especially on Rebel Depot. I don't think I've gone less than 30 kills in any game with him on the map. I can feel the rage when I keep blowing people up with proximity bombs!
  18. Hats off to you then Darren. Getting a PCP with just £1k down is not too shabby. If you compare the offer on Toyota now, you'd need around £3.5k deposit. And you didn't trade your car in towards it as well from a previous deal? If I didn't know you were such an upstanding member of the VT community I'd question your honesty on that one!! You can contract hire the new 1.8 petrol hybrid cvt active for about £10.5k total over 3 years and you are doing it for £10k inc deposit. Although as you have said you are not handing back and are over mileage, so for a true comparison you'd have to wait unto you got rid of it and worked out the total amount you paid. Interestingly if you had a business you could contract hire the business edition tourer hybrid for just £8.6k over three years. I hate it when they tier the prices like that.
  19. What was your initial deposit contribution Darren? You got a decent discount and Toyota contributed £1k to the down payment, but what was your initial payment Your paying £8,892 in payments over 3 years and the balloon is £6k that's just shy of £15k, so did you put £1k down and Toyota put the other? What is your mileage allowance on the hand back?
  20. There's nothing wrong Darren, it's just more often than not if your doing it to chop and change every few years, it works out a lot more than Personal Contract Hire. I don't know what you Drive, what you pay and over what term and conditions. You may well have a great deal, it's certainly not impossible. Xela there are quite a few differences, the main one being it is just a straight hire agreement. You tend to pay a multiplication of rentals as an initial payment (ranging from 1-12 months) then a payment per month for the remains terms (2-5 years typically). The deposits tend to be lower. Finance companies rather than dealerships tend to be the main players in leasing, so you often benefit from their discounts and therefore the rentals are lower than the monthly payments on a retail cost car. An example right now in the market would be BMW 1 series. If you look at the BMW finance in their website, a 118i M sport would cost you around £295 per month with around £3.5k down over 3 years. I know you'd find an equivalent deal on PCH with a payment about £40 a month lower than that, with around half the initial payment. Same term, same mileage, hand it back.
  21. Ok, unless I am reading it totally wrong, the deal you are looking at is this: £8,390 deposit £570 initial finance payment in month one £299.02 for 35 subsequent months (£10,465.70 total) Then the optional final payment of £13,918 Total payable inc £10 purchase fee = £33,353.70 It's not just £570 down, it's £8,390 + £570. If you decide to hand it back after 3 years, you keep to the T's and C's (10k per annum) and its in good return condition (open to interpretation), then it will have cost £19,425.70 to effectively 'lease it' for 3 years. Plus servicing/tyres, plus road tax. These are not a great car for contract hire offers, but just a quick Google and I came across few deals on the R-sport Auto, which is a slightly better model I think. £2,225 initial payment 35 x £371 It costs £15,210 to do the same thing the PCP deal does. It costs £4,215.70 less to do the same thing in a better car The issue with PCP in general is they are often front and rear loaded, so yeah the monthly payments can look pretty sweet, but they are not often low deposit. They are not hire agreements, they don't really want you to hand them back and if you do, they want you to trade in with them so you roll into another one. Im not saying there aren't some reasonable deals out there. The car finance industry is a bit of a 'on any given day' gig at the nest of times, but generally PCH will beat PCP 9/10 out of ten if you just want to run it for 3 years and hand it back. There's other reasons too, but I'm tired and your probably bored.
  22. Leasing works on 5k to 50k per annum depending on the company and you don't get crucified cost wise at all. You pay more for more miles obviously, but if you own it it will depreciate quicker the more miles you put on it anyway.
  23. For the love of all things, please check the small print!! I work in the industry and the amount of people who get tucked up with a '0% finance deal' or PCP contract is unreal. Closely followed by 'I got xxxx off a 6 month old blah blah' - trust me, the dealer saw you coming. And don't buy one either. Owning a car is risky at best, downright stupid at worst (unless it's a classic car investment, you intend to rally it or deliberately drive it off a cliff). If you like new cars, only keep them for 2-4 years at a time and want the easiest (and more often than not, the cheapest) way of doing it, then the only answer is Contract Hire.
  24. Yeah the Hutt contracts are pretty sweet Don't think they have done enough to balance out the Emperial Villans Vs The Heroes though. Greedo has given them a bit of a boost, but if you have two fairly evenly matched teams in terms of player ability - the heroes smash it every time. I just hope they don't start nerfing the heroes. Boba needs a buff (make the wrist rocket a lock on and blaster should be one burst kill on infantry). Greedos multi lock thingy needs a bit more range and to charge a bit quicker too.
