  1. He might add a few more penos, but could you imagine what a team who are well organised at set pieces would gain from him. You could probably add 10-15 goals a season considering the amount Jack gets fouled if you could capitalise on set pieces. Drives me mad when we waste set pieces.
  2. He is absolutely needed for the championship, we need to fill the squad with some depth and he will be more than adequate for that. We will inevitable lose some players but our squad is already light and getting rid of our 2nd highest scorer would be a mistake. He's not PL quality but a year in the championship might do him some good.
  3. I don't think he will fair well in the Championship somehow. We need to figure out a system to get the best out of him (whatever that is) because we are gonna be stuck with him I reckon.
  4. aaannnnd we're gone. I can't believe that penalty was given, once again we have been screwed over by VAR. Does every fan feel like this, or is it just me?
  5. This the nature of the Spurs loss, the Arsenal throwaway and the Crystal Palace Travesty are the ones that stick out in my mind as major blows. Both from a points and psychological perspective.
  6. Todd Cantwell I would definitely take from Norwich, and maybe the two full backs Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis. Buendia is quality but I don't think we will get him unless we stay up. Prob wouldn't take anyone else from them.
  7. Damn... Should have said *most*. That's what I get for not fact checking, but it genuinely feels like that. Another draw would be swell thanks.
  8. Every year we give 6 points to United, and I expect that to continue. (its one of a few things about the club that drives me nuts). We're like a charity shop when it comes to them and this time they are actually in form. let's put in a decent performance and not get anyone injured please =[
  9. This is my major worry. We have lacked goals all year and that doesn't just magically fix itself when we are fighting for relegation. This scrap is so finely balanced that if Watford beat Norwich that will give the a little jump that will seem like a mountain to climb for our players. Every point seems massive so whoever at the bottom get's three points first will really turn up the pressure on the others that some might crack either from trying not to concede or being more adventurous in trying to get a goal or two. Everyone saying Grealish is our talisman and our most creative outlet is all well and good, but the way he plays and the role he has in our team should not make him top scorer, but he is. I see what Smith is trying to do with Kenian Davis (and in fairness, I think the kid is doing well with the cards he has been dealt). He is physically strong, holds the ball up, wins flick ons, and tries to bring others into play -> namely two out of our top 3 goal scorers, Grealish and El Ghazi. If we play like we did against Liverpool in these last few games then we have every chance, but I worry that it just won't be enough if we need 10 chances to score 1.
  10. Marcelo Gallardo would be a risk...but a risk worth taking in my opinion. Rafa would be the other one I would want if it came to change.
  11. Definitely if we are going to be in the Championship. He should get plenty of game time but we do need a leading striker no question.
  12. Ugh I hate talking about this cos its like we are deciding the worst will happen and we are down and stripping our squad before we know it. BUT I can't help myself so speculating is no harm.. Grealish is going whether we stay up or not. its the sad truth imho. 40-50m if we go down, maybe 50-60 if we stay up. I know united paid 80m for Maguire but I can't see them spending that sorta money again now that their front 5 are playing well and seem to be clicking (pogba, frenandes, rashford, martial, james) Mings I can see going for 25+m and Arsenal badly need him. Leicester are another as they will need someone to cover/replace Jonny Evans soon. He will have options. McGinn i'm not sure about anymore, before his injury I would have said 20/25m but now i'm not so certain he will even want to leave. He will need to get his game back up to a high standard and keep his Scotland place. He knows he can boss it in the championship so and play every game (ankle dependent) so he might stick around yet. Luiz I think we can hang onto also. He will have ambitions to play at a higher level, of that I have no doubt. I think a lot will depend on what the Brazil coaches will say to him behind the scenes. I get the city link with the contract and all but they already have Gundogan and Rodri so I can't see him warming the bench there. I'd keep El Ghazi and Trez for the champo probs but it would depend on who we could bring in as replacements, but look to get rid of lansbury. our squad will be trim enough if we lose 2 or 3 of the above and our squad depth is not great despite the money we spent in the summer. I'm still confident we will stay up though! Need to get another point tomorrow or better! UTV!
  13. Bournemouth's games are dreadful alright, but if newcastle act like that are on a saudi beach they might get something. I don't think they will get anything from Utd, Spurs, or Leicester as all are fighting for european places and city will be preparing for champs league then. Southampton and Everton might have taken their foot off the gas by then but they could be down by that stage with any bit of luck. For us, Wolves are a serious side but its a derby of sorts so you'd never know. Liverpool might be playing the kids as they will have the league won by then, Utd will beat us as per usual (really sick of that BTW), and I genuinely think we can pick up 1-2 wins from our last 4 games as Palace Everton Arsenal will have nothing to play for. I will brown all my trousers if it comes down to a shootout with West Ham on the final day. wouldn't be able for that now at all.
  14. Considering how much Grealish gets fouled, could you imagine how much a side with well drilled set pieces would benefit with him in it. prob get 15 goals out of it over a season.
  15. Doubt we will keep Mings. Arsenal are crying out for a Centre half like him, and that's just off the top of my head. there will be others after him too and he will be keen to play PL and keep his England place.
  16. its definitely noticeable and appreciated! just need them to get on the end of something now
  17. Sooo if it was reviewed by VAR and spotted then why is nothing happening? are they just choosing not to do anything or are they not allowed? If its the latter, then VAR is even more of a jokeshop than I originally thought.
  18. Yep he will prob go too, but he might force a move. The others won't need to and will have enough interest in them I reckon. I don't think the owners will sell up, I think they are willing to make it work but they will look to steady the ship if we go down. they will want to protect their investment of course, but they will want to recoup the outlay from last summer and negate the impact from relegation. This is all an assumption of course but who knows. Regardless I'm absolutely terrified of what team we would be left with and who would even want to join that squad. We might see the likes of O'Hare, Louie Barry, and Davis get some proper consistent game time but we wouldn't be challenging for promotion again that's for sure.
  19. If we do go down, I am dreading to think what shape of a team we will be left with. Assuming Mings, McGinn, Luiz, Grealish (and there may be more with that) all leave then we will be left in some state. Getting relegated this time could be a bigger disaster than before and might have much longer lasting effects.
  20. I did not enjoy Davis being a total nuisance at the back..
  21. I'm enjoying Davis being a total nuisance up top. He's started well and is stronger and quicker than I realised. Delighted to see him a chance!
  22. Fair point but west ham are absolutely shocking. Their defence is making a great effort for the worst in the league award right now
  23. Mendy just got injured and Vardy just pulled up with a hammy in their game against Wet Spam just now.. They would be 2 big players out for them if they don't make it. All of a sudden this could be a real opportunity esp with us at home!
  24. WELL DONE NYLAND~!!! Great catch that! Now, Hourihane for Nakamba please... we can't defend this for another 25 mins, nerves wont stick it
  25. I've been worrying about him for a little while now, and I realise this may sound petty, but from his social media account all he seems to be concerned with is music. It doesn't seem like he has been interested in football at all lately. Never anything about him training, or down at Bodymoor, or anything with the rest of the team. Again, I know this seems a bit petty referring to his social media but for anyone who follows him there is a very different vibe to all the other players. Hoping I'm totally wrong of course!
