  1. apparently Beadau done for 600k & Hogan 9m up front with 3m in add ons.. very good if true!!
  2. we spent £12m-£14m on a nearly 30 yr old McCormack,,, Its definitely possible.
  3. I'd definitely take him. would be a good proven option. I have a feeling that it might be someone from abroad though.
  4. If its totally out of the blue then I'd love to see Sebastian Giovinco or someone. I doubt we would offer him the type of salary he would want but some wild speculation for a 'big signing'.
  5. is it time to resurrect use of for this guy? I think its deserved..
  6. and forcing me to do emergency surgery to my FF team in the midst of this! But its absolutely insane, Mr. Roman must not be a happy bunny.. even for £80m.
  7. I wholeheartedly agree. Him plus Hourihane, or Tom Carroll, or jesus even David Meyler would help things currently
  8. The package will be wrapped in speeding fines & an old Arsenal jersey to catch his attention, but it takes a bit of time to perfect of course.
  9. Perhaps they have lost total faith, but I thought he had potential and those links to Inter Milan a while back suggested likewise. I trust Bruce more than Sherwood, Garde & RDM so hopefully it will be for the best.
  10. If I remember correctly Bruce was certainly quoted in the media a while back as saying that one was verbally agreed (presumably Johnston) and another was close (possibly Jenkinson). I'd rather Jenkinson being honest, can't see why we would go for Johnston over Gollini. If we were after a better, more experienced goal keeper then fine.
  11. I'm not opposed to him going, but I am more concerned at who would be coming into the team instead. He is useful if his strengths are played to, but its not working for us atm and we're clearly not going to build a team around him. If it was a swop deal of some sort with Rhodes, I'd be ok with that. If it was to aid us getting a quality midfielder, then great. I wonder if it is held up because Brucie wants to get in someone else first..
  12. Righty, harmless speculation it is so then! Keane, Miguel, Stephens, & Falcao please
  13. soooo any decent links? Jenkinson seems to have gone a bit quiet.
  14. I also think that he needs a run of games, I'm not sure when Kodja's leaving but looking at January: Cardiff a, Spurs a (FA Cup), Wolves a, PNE h, Bristol h, Brentford a, I hope he gets a good run and builds up his fitness & confidence, I would expect him to be scoring 3/4 goals in that run of games. As long as Bruce doesn't go with Gabby instead..
  15. Tom Carroll & Kieran Tripper might be a good shout, but as always, cautious of anything do with buying/loaning players from Spurs & Levy. I'd also think Craig Gardner could be a shout, not sure how people would feel about him being back but he's not playing much and would add to our midfield. Maybe Jordan Mutch also. nothing exciting I will admit, but I think they are experienced & might be attainable in January either on loan or permanent.
  16. True, but I think it would have been very naive of them to expect that he would have made his debut for any length of time during a crucial WC qualifier when there was experience on the bench. They must have had a more valid reason for traveling to Vienna. He will be playing in the Europa league in Dublin on Thurs night if they really wanted to see him in action.
  17. Daryl Horgan scored another great goal last night against Zenit in the Europa League. Very cool finish & great pace. The more I watch him the more I think he could be a great addition. also called into the Ireland squad this week. He will have a few clubs sniffing around now as he is on a free at the end of the season. The obvious midfield issue aside, I'd love to see another quality addition to strengthen the back 4, Kevin Wimmer from Spurs isn't getting any game time, neither is Neil Taylor at Swansea who I think would be great for us. More long term and prob out of reach, but I was impressed with Mason Holgate at Everton & Rob Holding at Arsenal when they were thrown in at the deep end at the start of the season.
  18. To think we picked him over Falcao at the time still haunts me..
  19. With my Ireland bias hat on: Daryl Horgan has been outstanding in the domestic league & Europa league. On a free at the end of the year. Chris Forrester has been doing well at Peterborough, would be interesting to see if he could make the step up. Their captain too at 23. Without my Ireland bias hat on, loan or otherwise any of: Lansbury, Iwobi, Trippier, Wasilewski, Might as well be ambitious, its a speculation thread after all
  20. Been very impressed with him over the last few weeks. Very mixed start but despite some errors he has put his head down and not let it wreck his confidence. Each time he has shown signs of continued improvement, and at his age that is a great indicator of his development. In our current position, what more can you ask for than consistent progression. Fair play to the coaching staff & fans too, I'm glad to see some patience is paying off. He is looking like he has to potential to be a very good keeper.
  21. Yes please, I think he has something about him. Not sure about PL level though but would be a great addition to our current squad. With inflated prices and all that, if we could get him for 4/5/6 mill I'd prob say yea
  22. What's the extent of his injury? Will he make the Wolves game?
  23. I'd take MON too... but not the spectacled one. I want Michael O'Neill. Surely he must realise that he can't do much better with NI and this would be a good chance for him. (of course, every manager we've had recently has been sold that story )
