  1. Watched Spy last night. Thought it was going to be a really bad comedy at the start (dislike Jude Law anyway). But after it got staretd there were some pretty funny moments. Still cheesy as hell, but some of the lines did make my chuckle. 7.5/10 Ted 2 tonight

    Drugs

Yeah i'm the same with some mates from school who havent grown out of their drug usage. One of my close mates left for Australia 3 years ago to get a work visa (took out loads of loans to fund it too). Instead of working out there he spent the vast majority of his time, out in the bush, high on LSD/DMT or whatever the hell is popular nowadays. The government rightly refused to extend his visa, so he's been living as an illegal immirgant for 2 years. Got a text form him 2 days ago saying that he's spent the last 3 months in prision out there (drug related) and has now been deported back home and is basically in the pub near my old house. He has nowhere to live, over £20k+ in debt, no job and i'm pretty sure that he wants me to put him up in my house for however long he takes to sort his life out. His missus dumped him after he spent their 10k wedding fund on drink/drugs and still failed to see the error in his ways (always the victim, never his fault). I'll meet with him for a beer, but there is no way in hell im telling him where my new house is.
  3. Tuna Salad, seemingly a non agressive and healthy lunch to have. Not when the idiot who made it decided to leave a random olive stone in there. Almost lost a tooth, clearings in the woods!
  4. At the end of the day, as long as we start spending 30m+ per season (the figure most clubs spend to keep up with the pace of the league) on quality players I couldnt care who owns us.
  5. Yeah I have told her (and her sister who she is best friends with) that her insecurity is an issue going to end up driving me away at some point. There was a bit of a change for a bit, but reverted to type again. At least I can confide with the sister I suppose, her input could be valuable. But whether it stays private after I drop a bombshell is another matter.
  6. She was on sertraline for a bit, which didnt make a difference and tried hypnosis once a long time ago (perhaps this made it worse now you mention it!?). But no actual 1 to 1 conselling. Perhaps I could suggest this to her? But's its still a tough conversation to have without a big argument and tears etc.
  7. Agree mate, we're pretty immature and I still dont class myself as a 'grown up' !
  8. How do you eat an apple? I find people who just bite into it savages. It needs to be sliced into 4 slices and the core taken out before i will even look at it. Ideally, in small pieces in a bowl with a fork. I eat it from the top downward, core and everything. Apart from that little black bit at the bottom, I wrap that neatly in cling film then place it in the bin.
  9. Pretty sure popcorn is the cinemas biggest money spinner. Costs something like 3p to make and they sell it for 5 quid!? Genius bit of marketing over the years, totally brainwashed everyone!
  10. Other lives, 2. Pyramids. Great album Bit like alt-j I'd say, they sound better live I think, which is quite rare nowadays. Very talented.
  11. Why would you assume that? Haha it's just a personal gripe, she's aright pain in the ass. Drinks nothing but mint tea all day at the moment and makes a big song and dance about it. But she never loses any weight. I assume she must just go home and eat loads. I suppose it's a bit harsh on my part though, each body deals with fat and calories differently, so who am I to judge.
  12. Great move to reinvest dividends into more stock, especially if you don't have to pay a trading fee. No point leaving the cash on an account earning 0.50% ! After 15 years it really will pay off. I resent having to pay a fund manager 2% fee just for basically 'tracking the market'. Ishares and vanguard index trackers are a cheaper and more flexible way to invest. You can always get out if the market crashes, not so easy if you're tied into a pension until you 50+. Again don't do this unless you're well researched! And ditto, I'm crap at saving. I like nice food and holidays, won't enjoy it half as much when I'm 65 so screw it. The government can house me ha
  13. LOL I love the new diets that come around every so often in the work place. We have one lady who is a nightmare, constantly harping on about her new diet It's all a load of bollox. 1000-1500 calories per day, plus some form of exercise for 6 weeks+ and you will lose weight. Stop pretending you're not gorging out on cake when no one is looking !
  14. Grapefruit. Looks, smells and sounds like a delicious fruit. But in reality it's minging, do people actually like food that bitter !?
  15. What kind of outlay would you start off with? Are there signs of where to invest? I've not heard of anyone doing this before, quite interested You can open an online trading account (I use GFT) with 250 pounds I think. In return you can leverage that to 100x it's value. So for 250, you can place trades for 25,000. Your chance of profit is greatly increased, but so is the chance of you blowing the 250 quid. You can open a demo account to get used to the way it works, but it's an entirely different kettle of fish when there's money on the table! Reading about basic trading techniques (stop losses, take profits) and technical charting (resistance and supports levels, trend lines and RSI) is a good place to start. Then you need to be tuned into to economic data releases and central bank decisions (The trading platforms have all this on their apps) as these can dramatically effect the prices. It all depends on what sort of time frames you're looking at too, many people day trade and do multiple trades per day for or you can take a longer term view. Best advice I can give you. "Have a plan and stick to it" You can lose more than your initial deposit too, this is so important and many people don't realise this. Check out the EUR/CHF on the day the swiss bank removed the cap of 1.20. Heard stories of people owning 10,000s for only having 400 in their account. Stop losses aren't guaranteed when that happens. Personally I think buying USD and selling EUR is a good medium term bet over the next 6+ months. U.S due to raise rates, Europe is still pumping free cash into the economy and the Greece situation still won't go away. Never that easy though and it will be a bumpy ride!

    Top Gear

Jimmy 5 bellies and gazza as co-presenters and I'm sold on the idea!
  17. Tend to play the Foreign Exchange market quite a bit. Risky as hell and can be very stressful. Would not recommend it to a novice. 90% of the people, lose 90% of their money within a year by all accounts. You need to be comfortable enough to carry on trading even on a losing streak, which is why i'd never do it for a living. I do alright though I suppose and get some free beer money every month. Pimping is way easier
  18. This time last year hadn't he already handed in a transfer request? Then Paul Lambert and Faulkner managed to persuade him to stay within 2 days back at the club? Both not exactly renowned for their charisma and persuasion ?? Each contract Benteke signs = a cut for Kismet. We don't know either how close Benteke is with Kismet, perhaps they're just milking us. Got no issue with this if he stays and performs !! Will wait and see anyway, not believing anything until it's on the official site, done that too many times over the past 4 years
  19. This is Kismet and Benteke just playing silly buggers like last summer. Kick off a fuss in the press and say you want to leave. Hey presto, new contract with payrise, Kismet gets a cut, everyone is happy. Can you blame them i'd do the same if I was an agent?
  20. pasta 100g per portion. My missus last night put 2 whole bags (1kg) to make mac and cheese for 2 of us. Same with ketchup
  21. The lion sleeps tonight , loved the benteke version of that !
