Just play the Charity Shield that no one cares about anyway in whatever nation state pays the most. Be it the US, Saudi, Qatar or North Korea. Guess they will never trump the money the FA makes from Wembley.

One to look at for the future: IFK Göteborg in Sweden have a 18 y.o guy from Mali named Malick Yalcouye that is playing his first couple games of senior football this season. He's been probably the best player in the league so far and is outshining Lucas Bergwall and everyone else in midfield. He's been ridiculously dominant. As mentioned he's only 18 and he doesn't speak English and hardly even French. He'd be a perfect guy to sign and then loan out to Vitoria or the Championship if possible. Never know with young players but he looks special. He does everything at twice the speed than the players around him, both on and off the ball and with his thought process. Hope we send someone to scout him. Apparently Liverpool and a bunch of French clubs already have.

Wouldn't surprise we if a Suadi clud offered £150m. He's the best Muslim player of the last 5 years and money is not a issue. Paying a big fee is a way to show they are relevant and to show power.

I'll say this about them, they've had an absurd time with injuries. Then again they have a squad that should be able to cope with it.

Who knows what their financial situation will lead to. Might be forced to sell players, even some they might not want to. And there is that rumor of points deductions. Still looks likely that they will miss out on Europe. again.

That first Chelsea goal was a prime example about what I've been pointing out. He can't save low shots. Not saying it's a shot he should absolutely have but he is so stiff and slow to get down on low shots, it happens almost every time. Seen enough with Sweden to know this isn't a rust thing. It's something that has come with age in the last 3-4 years.

He always will. He's been lacking match practice since late 2019. That's the role he is employed for and content with.

Did OK, extremely difficult situation although exactly the situation he is employed for. We have less confidence passing it around the back when Emi isn't playing and Olsen can't save shots on the ground. It is known. Other than that it was fine. Nice that he got some minutes ahead of Olympiacos I guess.

Wasn't a good game by us by any standard, especially the 2nd half. But tbf we got 2 big injuries in the first half and needed to change the way we play. Compare this to how the Newcastle game at the start of the season went and it's a win. Might turn out to be an mportant point even thou we dropped 2. Also: VAR

The issue with Olsen is his (in)ability with the ball at his feet We'll be much more vulnerable to the press and the distribution will get worse. He's an OK keeper but weak on low shots and I doubt he's ever saved a pen in his life.
