    Covid in the Slovakian squad, only one player (back up CB Denis Vavro) and a member of the staff so far but it does raise some questions considering the Russian Covid protocols. If the are strict then every person who's been in contact the the infected person needs to be quarantined and would thus not be available for the game against Sweden tomorrow. Sure they will work around it thou.

    The rigors of being a rotation/back up player in the PL. 100% certain he could handle that. And then if by next season we need a upgrade on Targett to kick on we are in a much better position to attract one. This signing would give us time, save us money and still improve us short term. Could not care less that he dived for a penalty a bunch of seasons ago.

    We are calling their bluff, or rather forcing them to prove to ESR just how much they actually believe in him and rate him. They're obviously trying to sign a big money player for the same position he's aspiring to in the team. If it's not Ödegaard then it's Maddison, (Grealish ) , Fekir, or Coutinho. Now all top teams need competition for places but where does this leave ESR? Doesn't seem like they have him in their immediate plans
