  1. Another fine performance from the English fans. Sure this will help any future bids to host tournaments no end.

    Cheery Twits

The virgin part is probably correct at least.

Oh this is so very very dystopian. "We turn now to our founder Sir Richard Branson" and "Remember today, space is as of now Virgin Territory"
  4. My team in Spain, Real Betis have been trying to get out of their contract with Kappa for a couple years now but they've have a contract where Kappa are allowed to match any offers from other brands and if they do they get an additional year to their deal. This runs to 2023 apparently. This summer both Hummel and Macron have made offers that Kappa have matched but now a 3rd offer has been made from another brand that is supposedly too high for Kappa to match. Does speak volumes thou that Betis are so desperate to get out of the deal, and it's not just due to money. These ones are not great Not sure it's down to Kappa that our kits are fashionably late, that's very much Villa tradition.
  5. Played about 35 mins against Bolivia and on the bench against Paraguay.

Not sure where to put it but we might get our first billionaire in space today, or not. All seems very dystopian to me but great fun for him I'm sure.

    New kits 21/22

Lazio 3rd kit. No sponsor yet so might still get ruined.
  8. Messi will never be as big in Argentina as Maradona was no matter if he wins them the world cup. Maradona was god and he carried them to the WC triumph just years after the Falkland war. Even with Argentina in dire situation and needing something to rally behind with Covid and everything else going on a WC win now will never be the same as what Maradona did. Fwiw I hate comparing players from different eras as the world, football and everything else has changed so much and is ever changing.
  9. Nice trophy, but it has nothing on this beauty
  10. Good thing PSG already signed Donnarumma because if Messi against all odds ends up there I'm certain he'd have pushed for them to sign Emi.

  12. Me neither. Used to watch the Brazilian league pretty regularly 10-15 years ago but these days I only watch the odd game a year from South America like the River - Boca superclasico or the Copa Libertadores final.
  13. Ah OK Transfermarks has it the other way round but I've only watched clips so wouldn't know.
  14. Thought he was more of a RW/attacker?
  15. Bit odd watching 2 movies this week where Stranger Things actors Davis Harbour (Black Widow) and Sadie Sink (Fear Street pt 2) play extremely similar roles to the ones they play in Stranger Things. Sadie Sink has the exact same outfits in Fear Street as she has in ST and Harbour in a washed up slob who ends up in a Russian jail in both ST and in Black Widow. If you didn't know what you were watching you could have been fooled it was Stranger Things at a quick glance.
  16. To celebrate? Look at Mister Fancypants here who is too good for spam
  17. I wouldn't know, not watched the Eurovision since 1984 or so Not sure it's quite as corrupt as football but it might well be I guess.
  18. I know we disagree on this one but I feel they got very fortunate to not have any red cards against Germany. Also found it strange that the ref was not told by VAR to go watch the video for the penalty dive against Denmark. It's not really that big a deal to me as it might seem because it's standard procedure that home teams get the 50/50 calls in their favor.
  19. Not been one since 1980 at the Euro's.
  20. Don't think for a second that UEFA has any love for England but they absolutely have a financial interest in the home teams, in this instance England reaching the finals. It's the same with FIFA. The stage has been set for England to reach the finals in this tournament, but they still would not have been there unless they also did the job on the pitch so well done them.
