First day at training

Young (French) strikers who are not 100% on it and showing poor attitude when they are wanting out is more of a rule than an exception. Would not put too much on it tbh. It's not a good personality trait but not the end of the world either. Probably was expecting to go to the Olympics and probably was expecting to have sealed a move by now so his head not in it is expected. As for Celtic and what Celtic fans think on Twitter... The shake-up has been happening for a while now with more and more Red Bull compatible sports being added each game. New sports like skateboard, surfing, climbing, kite-surfing, (golf & tennis) or bastardized versions of proper sports like 3 x 3 basketball, 7 rugby and I'm sure other stuff. All things that are quick and suits the kids with limited attention span and who are not interested in the Olympics anyway. The IOC are gambling this will improve the dropping TV numbers but I don't think it will work long term.

No real surprise that Juventus was a more desirable prospect than Villa was, or that that the Leeds boy Phillips wanted to stay at Leeds, or that Leicester is a more desirable destination than we are and so on and so on. This whole Smith doesn't understand how a midfield work or that he doesn't value defensive players is nonsense. We've clearly tried to sign one in Phillips (and Weston McKennie who' at least has intensity and workrate)) and I'm certain other targets as well. We are not in a position where we can just point and sign players, even with PL money. Players we have signed or are linked with are players who are looking to move on and see us as a step or an interesting next move. The number of world class DCM's or world class talent DCM's is not that big, and the ones willing to come here is even less. I'm certain that if a player who meets this criteria appears we will be all over it. In the meantime we are adjusting other areas in the squad. Can't believe how people can be expecting things to happen so fast considering where we were even a year ago. Teams we are competing with have had years and years to build their squads. We are in our 3rd semi-rebuild in 3 years ffs. Finally in a position where we can add the right pieces and build without panic but it's not good enough, unless we play in Europe asap it's a huge failure apparently. Absolute state of it.

I think Baggio was fantastic but it's Batistuta every day. Batistuta was one of the most clinical finishers of all time imo. A extremely hard worker who stayed after practice every day to work on his finishing. Read interviews from players who played with him at Fiorentina and he was a fantastic captain and team player. Larger than life but also humble. He's one of my all time favorite players.

He's quite good actually, does things at a very high tempo and is extremely explosive. Good technique and very fast but he also got a brain and vision so not just a Adama Traore type. He would add things to the team that we lack and make us much harder to defend against. We are a bit pedestrian even on our best days, he would change this. He's not the best defensive winger out there but he has the pace and motor to be a good presser high up the pitch. One thing I think might be a positive is that he became a father not long ago and has changed the way he takes care of himself with eating better and focusing more on recovery. Basically he's grown up a bit compared to a seasons or two ago.

Think Hughes would be an opportunity signing if it happens. Doubt we'd be interest if he wasn't sitting on a contract with only 1 year left.

Just hoping that his agent and advisors are not Jerking us around. Bailey would be a spicy addition.
