  1. Oh come on, I'm clearly just replying to the quoted poster's remark about the age difference at which their respective clubs brought them in. Nothing more.
  2. Barca brought Messi over when he was 12-13, we actually got Weimann when he was 15, almost 16. Not too far apart, really.
  3. He's never been that slow, but I think people got used to viewing Fonz as the pacey/physical striker in the reserves with Andy playing more the poacher role. Unlike Fonz, though, he's really stepping up for us in the league that counts, can't wait for him to get the goal(s) he's due.
  4. Have ground Borderlands into dust, have nearly one of everything interesting except the pearlescents, but there's no challenge left. Started Dark Souls, not too far in yet, but I fear I'm already treating it like I did Demon's Souls, spending hours grinding to level up before bosses/new areas and obsessively searching for every piece of loot in the game, so I should get a ton of time out this one! A friend also started it today as well, but he hates taking games slowly, so he's insisting on doing a Deprived/caveman build on his first ever "Souls" game playthrough, which should be pretty hilarious to witness.
  5. Andy never stops trying to make something happen, I think if he puts one away he'll go on a decent run for us. We're at home to a team that we should be well up for beating, I'd like to see us take a chance with three up top with Andy - Benteke - Bent if we're going to keep playing narrow, swap one with Gabby or Mark if we want a little width. At least give the opposition defenders some very different playing styles to handle.
  6. Either way, Baudrillard's head just exploded!
  7. Is Lowton injured, too? Lambert deployed him in the middle a few times in preseason, I imagine he'd be moved in before Herd with Lichaj at RB. Neither Herd nor Lowtown fill me with much confidence as central defenders, though, so hopefully Baker or Clark will be fit. We're gonna need to buy another senior CB in January, methinks.
  8. I'm level 62 or 63 on playthrough 2.5, just raided the Crimson Armory in the Knoxx DLC for the first time. 110 chests, so it's farming heaven, aside from that whole getting blown up after 2.5 minutes thing. Lotsa new enemies (Mini Steve is the BEST), though some of the side missions can get overly grindy in all the DLCs. Collect 10 brains! Now collect 25 brains! Now collect 50 brains! Now collect 100 brains! Now collect 250 brains!
  9. Playthrough 1 is pretty easy unless you intentionally stick with super crap gear. Playthrough 2, though, things can get crazy, especially if you're playing with a full party online, which buffs enemy strength and numbers for each additional player. Even with a 1224 hp shield and some guns doing ~2k base damage, it's hard work! Get 1-or-2 shotted pretty regularly by midgame.
  10. It's Dimebag but I'll give it ya :-) He actually went by "Diamond" until about the time they released VDoP. They were a kind of hair-thrash hybrid for just about all of the '80s.
  11. He'll bag one sooner or later, after which I think his confidence will shoot up and we'll see him go on a decent run. He's getting the chances in and the workrate is there, only a matter of time, imo.
  12. Dude, it's nigh fecking impossible to get rid of deadwood on FM!
  13. He attacks a lot more aggressively when on played on his natural side. Always committed to defending first, though.
  14. No way in hell is Walt "out". He's just playing everyone, but what's the angle? The manufacturing and distribution can be pretty easily handled now, but where is the money going to go?
  15. I'm thinking a There Will Be Blood thing. Walt kills Jesse (and everyone else, directly or indirectly), then goes right back to work in his lab, living alone in his empire with only his ego. That, or he turns out to be an alien and has actually been perfecting blue meth to power and/or destroy the spacecraft his former copilot stole and used to derive the technologies that made Gray Matter so successful.
  16. Marie as collateral damage when Hank gets too deep again or intentionally when/if Skyler cracks and confesses to her? Would either destroy or galvanize Hank.
  17. Transformers demo is pretty awesome, and I normally hate that sort of game. Sleeping Dogs demo annoyed me to death. It felt like a hybrid of GTA, AC and Streets of Rage, but not as good at the things it borrowed as any of them. Don't think I could make it through the whole thing. Been playing the Dust 514 beta. The concept is ambitious and fascinating, and the gameply has moments that are quite cool, but also balance issues, a very awkward interface, a touch of gear overload and waaaaaaaaay too much functional stuff currently unexplained. When you finally figure out how to get some new thing, just equipping it can be tricky, let alone using it correctly. Also, it's looking increasingly like the promises of not being "pay to win" may be well on their way to being broken, imo.
  18. Can't see us letting him go before Fonz, he's been much more effective in his limited time for us. That would leave us needing yet another striker, too, and there's nobody that could be brought in both for as low a fee and on comparable wages.
  19. Got 7 league assists, 1 goal (and one in the FA Cup) in 16 starts, 12 sub appearances for a rubbish Hull side as a teenager new to the league. Think he'd be worth a go now with a great season behind him (and already off and running this year) in a decent European league, but would be expensive. He's got the power and pace to make it here, would rather him than Jones or Carroll, as he can make goals for himself and others, and his technical abilities have been improving fairly steadily over the years.
  20. Where is that Edward Norton closing his laptop in disgust gif?
  21. Can't handle not being the "best" player at his club? At Wigan, just about the whole team would make every effort to give him the ball once in the attacking third. In a team with other players expecting service and opportunities with the ball, maybe can't manage quite as much.
  22. Dunno what Fulham has done behind the scenes, either, do we? May well have told him they're holding out for 30m or something silly.
  23. ...oooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! Too old and too greedy with the ball.
