    SG insisted that the title doesn't guarantee a spot... hopefully he backs that up. If the form isn't there, it shouldn't matter if you've been given the armband... however, if the newly appointed captain now rarely starts, that would definitely be some egg on his face. My optimism and excitement has been really crushed after 45 minutes, haha.... really hoping we have a great second half and get a result

    Horrendous first 45... betting SG rips into them good and wouldn't be surprised to see a few changes to start the second half.

    Coutinho has been poor.... so has most everyone else... but damn. So far this is rather discouraging... hopefully we can pull one back before the break

    Was a huge fan, but the contract squabble really killed it for me... disappointed to not see him by into the project and be a part of it... but good riddance... absolutely thrilled we got 20mil for him.

    I go Martinez just so SG doesn't feel like he has to start Mings every game and therefore can cycle in Chambers/Konsa based off how the three are playing.

    winger-wingback hybrid. Definitely a baller. Not sure whether to hope he gets a really good loan opportunity and crushes it and then assumes a spot with the club next year or see him get bits a pieces with the club this year. Future is bright that's for sure.

    Haha.... really hopeful he makes this user name halfway acceptable. Made me proud today. I find it tough to sit Ramsey after seeing what he did last year, and also not sure I see SG sitting McGinn... I'm honestly quite underwhelmed with Watkins/Ings and wouldn't mind them using Bailey up front in some capacity.... we've got a lot of midfield options and our strikers just aren't cutting it for me. Very curious to see what gets rolled out for the next friendly and also curious who we see go/come in prior to the window closing. Either way I can't wait to get things started. The 5 subs makes life interesting as you can totally switch things up if you have a poor first 45. (I'd even love SG to make a move in the first half occasionally if he doesn't like what he's seeing).

    I want to see a ruthless SG this year.... we have a deep enough squad for him to be like that... if you don't put it all out there on the pitch, and you're not performing, you're not starting. Simple as that... doesn't matter who you are. Internal competition will help push us forward.

    Get this man into our starting XI.... game changer. Really like what I've seen from his thus far this pre-season... basically what I was hoping/expecting last year. What's your starting XI assuming Leon is in?

    SG is all about keeping a clean sheet before anything. I'm sure he's thrilled how we looked going forward in spurts, and how dangerous we can be... but he's going to be ripping pissed about the other end. I have faith he will take us where we want to go. Patience.

    It's everything. The flare. The skill. The nutmegs. The awareness. Not too many players have the patience to wait and find Ramsey wide open. We have had odd man opportunities like that all year that go wasted. Can't wait to watch more of him playing and see where it goes as the team continues to gel.

    I guess he really did watch a lot of SG highlights after SG got appointed. Ballllllleeerrr. Watkins should take notes. If we can get our striker firing with Cout, Emi and Ramsey behind... that's dangerous. Love me some JJ.

    Offensively we were outstanding. Clinical when needed to be. Although it's alarming that Ollie can't get involved. Defensively... I don't know what to say... it was just scary. Very disappointing to score 3 at home and not get the W. Hope Buendia and Coutinho are alright.

    Lot of rumors flying on twitter that Emi got hurt during today's friendly. Very much hope that's not the case as he is starting to really cook.

    Pretty pumped about TI's future. Love that he's getting a long look with the first team. Would be amazing if he was at least part of the solution for us at CDM in the next year+ as he continues to develop.
