  1. They were league two then, not saying we wouldn’t beat them but that fixture will never be a walk in the park. I wouldn’t want to even give them the chance to get a result and claim bragging rights for the next 15 years. Let them **** rot.
  2. Don’t be silly, they’ll be playing Wrexham next season
  3. So does our little Emi, can’t wait to have him back for those
  4. I'd say this actually adds more weight to it being genuine, only adding kits once they have the designs rather than added random concepts - as you'd assume they'd apply generic concepts for home and away in that case?
  5. I’m going to need a deep scrub in the bath after that celebration
  6. Just came here to say this, the sky 6 love in is disgusting and I’m sure they’ll use that clip as a narrative to try and sell him to Arsenal during TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY
  7. Could some of that be eaten up by clauses in contracts attached with achieving champions league football or winning a trophy if we are able to achieve these this season. With very little basis I was thinking most players could have clauses of x% increase if we achieve champions league like the traditional CL teams do for not achieving it or teams build in for a drop out or promotion into premier league.
  8. I'll have to pick your brains for the best pubs once we are down there!
  9. Making me question my decision to move to Bournemouth in the next few months
  10. I’m going to enjoy a Goldbridge meltdown with a cuppa and pack of biscuits tomorrow. What a result.
  11. Guessing they couldn’t find a reason to deny it despite 3 minutes of checks.

    Jhon Durán

    Especially after that goal
  13. Played some excellent passes this game, lovely defence splitters on a few occassions, but his body language screams a man low on confidence. Hopefully he can get a goal to reward his efforts in the last 20 or get decent minutes on the weekend.
  14. Does that benefit co-efficient when they are most likely going out given the 4 goal deficit? I've lost track as to what means what!
  15. Trying to sell Watkins to a big club like Man United, going on mute until it kicks off.
  16. 1.13ppg would be quite a collapse, really hoping we don’t see such bad results in the run in especially with players coming back from injury
  17. Spurs getting a result after being under pressure most the game it sounds like… frustrating and only adds pressure to us tomorrow.
  18. I’ll be mid flight during this game, last time that happened we were 0-1 down to Crystal Palace at take off and by the time I’d landed it was long finished and 3-1. I wouldn’t complain about a similar result this time but with a clean sheet if possible.

    Liverpool

Hopefully they quickly return to being the Northern Spurs
  20. I think I’d be naive to say this counts for everybody (even a large chunk) but for myself, a fan of 30 years and previously a season ticket holder back in mid 00s it was COVID that made me realise how much I missed going to games regularly and got me on the waiting list. Having been a retail worker in my 20s having a season ticket just wasn’t viable, so the occasional game had to do. After being locked in the house for what felt like a lifetime and watching the games being one of the only outlets at the time made me realise just how much I missed it and now being in a position to go week in week out it drove me to join the waiting list. Within my mates there are a few in similar scenarios; albeit not Villa fans, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it bought back what some would call casual fans to be more engaged with the club.
  21. Stick it in Elmdon Park so the 20'000 on shift at JLR can just pop down on their break
  22. We would also be sat 1st in 2021 after 16 games and 2 points clear, we’d be first in 2014 on goal difference and 3 points clear of City, first in 2011 and a point clear. The comparisons to Leicester aren’t the only season in the last decade or so that our points would have us either leading the league or ahead of the eventual winners so it’s just a lazy comparison to get clicks and engagement. From what we’ve seen so far this is probably going to be the most compacted top 6 and one of the smallest gaps between 1st and 12-14th that we’ve seen in a while. The league is absolutely stacked and no one is scared of taking points off another - this could lead to some nasty surprises if we do go on a bad run as it could be very easy to drop down quickly but it also means our current PPG shouldn’t be compared to previous seasons winners without looking at the much wider context.
