  1. "No me invitado" Are we sure that is a real Spanish phrase because it sounds like Del-Boy?
  2. Nassef Sawiris was the one who went to Spain anyway. I think it fits.
  3. I will never trust anyone on the internet again after the CJ Bellend debacle.
  4. It means Asensio isn't a slag and you have to get permission from his father first.
  5. Before this thread is closed, please can I just check that someone posted a Kenneth Williams GIF in response to all the "pushing hard" comments?
  6. I'm assuming that in this case "or" means as "opposed to" rather than "including"
  7. We need a Tier 2 ITK to tell us when we will hear something and a Tier 1 ITK to tell us what it will be.
  8. Asennounce Asensio you asenine assenholes!
  9. On a serious note, I'm absolutely gutted. I see our usual start of the season disaster has started early this year.
  10. From Unai's press conference: Reports from Spain have outlined that Mateu Alemany, Barcelona’s director of football, now isn’t coming to Villa Park. What can you tell us? It was two weeks ago we were speaking about the possibility for him to come here, it was positive and, in the end, he’s not coming. We will continue in our project and build up as a club and a team. He is a very good professional with experience. I know him, I sometimes meet with him. But we’re very focused here with the project we have in front. We will try to analyse someone to help us. But now, Mateu Alemany will stay in Barcelona. Unai, did he give any reason for not coming? He is in Barcelona and he will continue there. What is the reason? I think Barcelona is a very good team. We were speaking about the possibility but he decided to continue in Barcelona. He’s very respectful with us and, with his decision, we are respectful as well.
  11. From Football Espana: "However, it appears that he has rejected Aston Villa, and according to Relevo, one of his reasons for doing so revolved around their financial situation. The Premier League side are said to not be in a positive economical situation, which seemingly indicated it would be difficult for them to sign players in this summer’s transfer window."
  12. Tony Xia is in prison for not paying back loans, and when he was in charge at Villa, he completely ran out of money, and even he didn't put season tickets up like this!
  13. "Fans will be able to see their renewal price on the ticketing website at purchase " Is there any way I can see my price before I choose "yes I want to renew now"? Why on the website do we get a map of all the price zones without, for the first time ever, a lost of the accompanying prices?
  14. I'm the same now - that was the first of only 2 times.
  15. I think that's being flattering to him. I once heard him interview an Indian restaurant owner who had won an award and been invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace where he met the Queen, which was completely clear from the guy's answers. Rakeem then says "so was that the first time the Queen had ever been to an Indian restaurant?" What was worse, the poor guy then apologised for not making himself clear enough, when Rakeem should have been apologising for being a Grade A F***Wit
  16. I just listened to the post-match hour from yesterday on BBC sounds (the hour after the 3pm kick-offs had finished). They played their interview with Emery and my mind was blown to hear it was conducted by Tom Ross, although his name wasn't actually mentioned.
  17. That's put me right off whatever you eat at this time of day - a pre-dinner snack maybe?
  18. But have his predictions about the anal sex been accurate?
  19. I thought this sort of thing didn't happen in the internet age anymore. It's like when kids at school said the Ultimate Warrior had died and been replaced by another guy.
  20. They've just changed it. Luckily, I took a screenshot to prove I've not gone even crazier than normal.
  21. I've just read the article on BBC sport about this loan and it says: "Barry, the son of former Villa, Manchester City and England midfielder Gareth, spent a decade at West Brom before joining Barca's junior ranks, and then returned to England with Villa in January 2020." But then I googled this and a lot of sites say they're not related and I even found a Talksport article from 2021 when Gareth was talking about Louie and said: "“I’ve watched Louie Barry play for England at youth level, he’s got huge potential." I doubt he'd call his son "Louie Barry" WTF BBC?
  22. What's the view like from Tier 2? Do the player's look really small?
