  1. His movement is great. I like the way he roams around the front three too, it's hard to pin down what position he's actually playing a lot of the time.
  2. We've already seen him pull wide against Sheffield too, pushing Jack into midfield and making room for Davis. I suspect this will happen a lot, and is at least partly why he was signed in the first place.
  3. Bamford has been an integral part of their squad for at least a full season. Wesley was brand new to the country, adjusting to the hardest league in the world as the record signing for a team that was hastily cobbled together over the course of a month, that barely even knew what it's own system was meant to be. Your comparison is useless. Besides, Wes wasn't that bad. He seemed like he was getting better with each game he played.
  4. I hope he comes to Villa. If so, Europa League here we come. If he goes to Leeds, that's fine too. He's overrated anyway.
  5. It didn't take me very long to pick it up to be fair, and I'm an idiot.
  6. I sunk an unbelievable amount of time into this game when I was furloughed. Even a few months ago I thought it was roughly the game it originally promised to be. Now, after the Crossplay, Desolation and Origin updates, it really is quite something. I've only just started playing the new update, but I can already see there's plenty of added variety and I've barely scratched the surface. I've not seen one of the sandworms yet either.
  7. It's far too early to say he's worthy of being a starter for us after two good league cup games. I'm not saying he's bad, but we might be getting ahead of ourselves here. Personally I'd keep him around though, making him a nailed in starter for all cup games and giving him regular minutes at the end of games were doing well in. If he continues to make a good account of himself, then we'll know he's ready.
  8. And to think I was so gutted when we lost him.
  9. I'm not watching, are West Brom playing well or are Chelsea just crap?
  10. Are there ever any actual Villa fans calling up on this show? If so what are they like?
  11. I don't know about that. Traore is arguably better as a CF than a winger. I'm also still holding out hope that Davis can become the complete CF we all know he's capable of being.
  12. I'm curious as to what you expected from our business this window. We're not yet a properly establish PL team so we're bound to be lacking in true squad depth. We're still building a squad, and it will take at least another 2 or 3 windows before we're done with that. Our business so far has been solid. Last season we were getting whatever we could to fill the gaping hole all the outgoing players left, this season we're improving on what we already have. Can't really argue with it.
  13. It's sound logic, too. Good players don't suddenly become bad.
  14. I'm high on confidence in this squad the way we've been going lately, so while I'm still giddy with hope I'm going to say we'll win this 2-0.
  15. It did. It went so well, we spent the next three seasons in the Champion's League, or something.
  16. I see. Could he be lacking in confidence then? I don't want to believe he's just a terrible shot, there's surely something to it.
  17. Could it be that he just doesn't take enough shots? I always see him looking around for somewhere to lay the ball off to instead of just having a go himself. He probably could've scored loads by now. I remember that used to be everybody's criticism of Sterling. Then Guardiola told him to be more selfish and now he's one of the best players in the league. Maybe Davis could have a similar boost.
  18. Ollie Watkins, doing Ollie Watkins things. You love to see it.
  19. 14 minutes into his Villa career and he accidentally scored the exact goal Kodjia tried to score every single game. A good start.
  20. Well I think it's pretty snazzy. Miles better than last season's third kit.
  21. That seems to be a common situation for a lot of keepers. Look at Martinez, for example. It's there a more competitive position in football? It's the one position where versatility is irrelevant, and there's usually several people vying for one single spot.
  22. Traore is actually a pretty adept centre forward. Most of his goals for Lyon came in that position. Much like Watkins, he's capable of rotating his position and he brings something different depending on where he plays. This is the sort of player Smith seems to want. The question is, can Edouard do the same or is he more rigid?
